I thought that Zodiac was boring and Button was just terrible.

My favs out of the movies I've seen of his are The Social Network and Seven.

I equally love Fight Club, Zodiac, Se7en and The Social Network. I just can't put one above the other. They're all brilliant masterpieces. I think Benjamin Button is a step down but it's almost at the top (a second viewing may elevate it's position).

Just saw this the other night. Freaking brilliant film! :word::up:

Also, if anyone is interested in another film that follows a vein similar to this, I suggest checking out Pirates of Silicon Valley. TSN had much better production quality, but POSV also tells a very interesting story of technological backstabbery that I greatly enjoyed.

The slip cover of my DVD has a mild crease in it :csad:.

Slip covers are dumb, TSN is so much better as just the black (blu) case.

I throw all my slipcovers away, they are a hassle.

The Game is his masterpiece...
Quite comfortably his worst in my opinion. Some great set up and brilliant direction but a terrible ending. Ok, maybe not worst, but how anyone could put that above Fight Club, Seven, Zodiac or The Social Network is crazy.

Benjamin Button is his worst. I don't get what Fincher was smoking when he read that script. Technically, it's wonderful, story wise it's interesting. It's just that it became Forrest Gump.

I thought the ending of The Game elevated it from good to great. M. Night wishes he could have made a twist as good as that. Sure, it was kind of illogical, but it was totally unexpected and creative.

You say unexpected and creative, I say stupid and ridiculous.

I liked Benjamin Button actually. I only watched it in the last few months as it didn't interest me at all but I enjoyed it a lot. It was probably more the technical aspects you mention (I loved the score) but the same could be said about The Game. He doesn't make movies unless he makes them brilliantly.

Eh, I enjoyed the movie but the ending was ludicrous and typical of a twist-within-a-twist crap that's pulled a lot. Of course, it being Fincher it was done with a lot more finesse. Still far from being creative, however.

M. Night might get crap now (it's deserved), but his twists early on in his career were simply masterful in conjunction with the story and direction.

You know what I just realized? The release date for the DVD/Blu-Ray was the same date that Mark Zuckerberg bought the domain name "thefacebook.com", which was January 11th. That's kind of cool. :yay:

I am now the proud owner of the following Blu-Rays.

Fight Club
Se7en
Zodiac
The Social Network

As much as I love Fincher, I can't bring myself to buy The Game and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Just can't do it.
