She'll probably be fine in the role, but does anyone else feel like she's too young for the part? The whole alcoholic, neglected housewife with a kid role seems like it would belong to someone twice Lawrence's age.

I do. I dunno, hopefully the performance works, but i'm still not totally sold. I'm much more impressed with what i've seen from Amy.

Of course she is younger than what the role calls for but if her performance is good and she is convincing I won't care. People said she was too young for her role in Silver Linings and yet most agreed that she did a really good job.

Russell wanted her in his movie and the lead role was already promised to Adams so Lawrence got this role. I must say it confuses me that people said she was too old to play a movie teenager when she was a teenager while playing in Winter's Bone and only 20 or 21 while she was shooting the first Hunger Games and now she is too young for this and that role. (which she is really of course).

Which roles should she be playing then? Because that doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for someone her age. Honestly some people need to make up their mind about this girl. I'm just going to to wait and see the actual performance in contex.

Maybe Leo's character is overcompensating for his age. Hot young wife will do that for you, especially if she's Jennifer "queen of awesome" Lawrence.
