Jen Law's performance is definitely worthy of major awards recognition that is for damn sure.

I am cracking up at how most of the shows discussing the flick are pretty much putting her at the forefront and just saying "oh yeah, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, B. Cooper and Hawkeye are in it too." I honestly think she is gonna be the breakout character of this thing.

Yeah Terry I remember last year with SLP. Bradley Cooper was the actual star of SLP, he got the most screentime and the film is about his character and he is really quite excellent in the film but what happened? Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Lawrence. She's like the Marsha-****ing-Brady of movies and everyone else is poor ole Jan.

Well, she did get the "and" credit in the trailer.

:funny: Take note, ISS, when I've mentioned in the past how "quotable" you are and you acted all bewildered, these are the kinds of posts I'm talking about.

Heh, alright. Listen it's a compliment, I'll always take one of those.

isnt it like batman and the Joker. one character always has the best lines and best scenes. :woot: but the story is also important and in SLP both Lawrences and Cooper's story was good. i am happy for Cooper.

whats important with JL is that she is good with slow quiet dramatic scenes and not just when she is screaming and doing goofy stuff infront of the camera. if i see correct thats what the trailer for AH shows.

Batman and his moobs :hehe:

Anybody surprised this film and the wolf of wallstreet were nominated under the comedy category?

Does a drama with some humor automatically count as a comedy now?

The movie was pretty ****ing hilarious at times I thought. Kind of a dark comedy to an extent.

I think I read somewhere on Goldderby that Sony wanted it in the drama category but the Globes overruled them and stuck it in comedy.

The whole musical-comedy category is a bit bizarre in general I guess? As if musicals and comedies somehow belong in the same category.

I think the globes just want to showcase all the buzz movies they can and so they fit movies into categories they probably shouldn't even be in, might as well just expand the categories slots like the oscars did.

It's the comedy category because the choices they usually nominate under the it incites laughter.

I only just realized this is getting released down here today.

I don't think I can take this movie seriously given Renner's hairstyle.

Yup. They submitted it under Drama but the HFPA overruled it and put it in Comedy. Go figure. :funny:

I honestly think they just looked at the visuals and said, "nobody is gonna believe pathos coming out of these goofballs' mouths."

Those wacky Globes. Russell's latest films just have those broad funny moments but that certainly doesn't mean they are comedies.

Yup. Russell kinda threw them under the bus too. He flat-out said in an interview that he doesn't consider AH as a comedy.

Although, to be fair, I'm looking at this and I can't stop laughing. :hehe:
