I haven't watched one trailer nor have I read any scene descriptions. I have an idea of the story in broad terms, but that is it.

Haven't been this spoiler free for a film in years. I'm really looking forward to seeing this. Especially as how much I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the previous film.

I've watched the theatrical trailer but that's it. I went into Edge of Tomorrow doing the same and man, it really helps not knowing much when going into a movie. This movie from what I've seen looks like it could be the best of the summer.

dark_b: ruining fun (and sense) since 2005
gif's please

-koba talking to caesar
-koba on horse jumping through fire
-koba in arnold schwarzenegger mode with two guns

thank you :cwink:

-good trailer
-a lot of ape talking
-scary Koba
-''Caesar love humans more than apes''
-apes on horses firing guns
-balanced story between humans and apes
-amazing Cinematography

but there is a big minus. stupid hollywood can not realese a trailer without spoiling something. they had to tease that Caesar dies. pathetic. but this is modern marketing. tell and show them everything.

What are you talking about?

the story will have a big dramatic ending. footage in trailer shows that Koba takes over. the third movie can not be 5 years later. it needs to be at least 50 years later so that we can see how Apes take over the world.

Caesar is a fantastic character in this franchise but he can not be the focus in all 3 movies. it can not be just about him. the story needs to go bigger in the third movie.

Thats what Im wondering. I didnt see anything regarding a death in that trailer. Nor did I see Koba taking over. All I saw was Koba going rogue and sparking the war.

I have an embarrassing admission....

I didn't get into the Planet of the Apes franchise until Rise :csad:.

The problem is those astronauts. Unless the third movie starts with them going through a worm hole & they return to a 50 year later Earth type of thing

I have a terrible feeling that

Koba may kill Caesar and Caesar's son will take over as king and kill Koba.

Just watched the new trailer for the 1st time and man, this looks so good, this could be the best movie in what has already proved to be a very good summer.

One of the best trailers I have seen for a while.

I disagree dark_b, Fox know they are onto a good thing with Serkis as Caesar, and people the character from the 1st movie, he is the main attraction to the franchise now, I doubt they are going to get rid of him 2 movies in.

Same here, I still dont think much of the old movies though, so really I am only into the re-boot rather than the whole franchise.

I really like the original. That's the only OG Apes movie I've seen. Saw the Burton once in theaters, didn't care for it. Rise was pleasantly surprising. Now I'm super stoked for monkey war!

I've seen the Burton one and the Franco one. All I remember from the Burton one was the odd ending. What was that all about?

Rise, on the other hand was absolutely amazing.

Yeah I saw the Burton one in cinemas too, thought it okay, but never bought it on DVD or anything.

LOVED the last one though, that really surprised me with how good it was, and Dawn looks superb.

There's just something about seeing natural-looking primates riding horses and wielding guns that appeals to me more than the sort of ape/man hybrids in the original films.

I just love the sheer absurdity of it.

^Same here, it makes the world both more realistic and more absurd at the same time, its a winning combination .

Would be interesting if that military ship turns out to be full of Apes. The humans would be screwed.

^Same here, I think some really shocking things are going to be happening in this movie, and it makes me even more excited to see it!

Yep. That's whats great about this franchise so far. It has great action, but also focuses on story/character. And hey Ape on a horse dual holding guns.
