Hey guys,

Alltime Numbers have just released a video called Planet Of The Apes In Numbers. There's some pretty awesome facts about the movies, so feel free to give it a look and let us know what you think.

Thanks,

Seeing it in 5 1/2 hours. Does anyone know if there is any additional scenes during or after the credits? It seems like most movies are doing that now, but I'd hate to sit through the credits and find out there is nothing there.:cwink:

There is a little something at the end of the credits. Some might say it's not worth waiting for, while some might feel differently. If you want a complete experience from the film, you might as well stick around.

How awesome is that one long take during the battle scene? Loved that.

There were a lot of long takes in this movie. I loved how Reeves would compose dialogue scenes.

Thanks. I always stick around as long as I know there's something there.

To anyone who has seen the film, can you tell me if any of the other apes speak in the film other than Caesar, Koba and Maurice. Do Rocket, Ash or River (People call him Blue Eyes but like River a lot more) speak at all?

Such a great movie. It totally lived up to my expectations. Definitely one of the best movies of the year. 9/10

I didn't stay but let me guess…

Koba's alive.

Blue Eyes speaks.

I know given the subject matter it probably isn't much, but are there any humorous moments in the film at all or is all just pretty much gritty angst?

There is some levity in certain moments. Not a lot but its there.

The angst wasn't overdone either. It was believable drama. If that makes any sense. Like it wasn't just dark and moody for the sake of being dark and moody. It didn't feel overbearing.

Just got back from seeing it..wow!

Really hard to find anything wrong that really sticks out.

I've read people saying that the ending is ominous and that the next one could go in any number of different directions, however Caesars speech to Jason Clarke's character about 'the war has already begun', pretty much confirms that the next movie will be about the full on war between man and ape.

War of the Planet of The Apes?……..perhaps.

9/10

Thanks.

War of the Planet of The Apes seems like the next logical title considering where things are likely to head.

I heard a report that the third film would simply be called Planet of the Apes.

There were 2 long takes in particular that I found stunning.

The tank one and Jason Clarke running from room to room.

Also, Giacchino's score is brilliant.

The Koba on the tank long-shot was cool.

Wouldn't that contradict the original, who if i'm not mistaken, still exists in the same time-line?

The music in the scene where Caesar and the apes first ride into town to speak with the humans sounded a lot like the score from the original 1968 film. I definitely got that 60s sci-fi vibe.

Loved that scene. I loved the humans reaction when they first heard Caesars speak!

Yeah I definitely heard some instruments that sounded similar.

Id rather they try not to tie this into the original series. The look and tone of that series just wouldn't mesh with where this one is heading. And I don't want this series too feel shoehorned into trying to fit everything neatly and not contradict the original series.

I thought this was great. It was maybe twenty minutes too long but not sure what I would have cut out. The FX were great because not once did it take me out of the movie. I was invested in both the ape and human characters, where usually in a movie like this, the humans drag it down. I love that the also didn't feel the need to make every ape speak and relied on subtitles. When they did speak, it made it feel more special.

I was surprised how little time Oldman got. But I am glad he was sympathetic. Based on the reviews, I expected him to be some moustache twirling caricature who just wanted to kill apes. But I could see where his motivations came from.

Even Koba, who is the villain of the piece, is sympathetic. You get why he is doing what he is doing, even if he is blinded by vengeance. I liked that they brought him back when they could have just as easily introduced a random ape as the villain.

I didn't stay for the after credits. Can anyone spoil it?
