Was there a problem with Freida Pinto?

True, but i don't really remember any bad performances.

Been busy lately but caught the trailer and just wow. Excitement for this builds more with everything I see. Cannot wait.

I confess that I was so sweating so much after ROTPOTA, and the movie left me depressed for a week. :funny:

Damn no one knows the trailer music?

Felton was pretty obnoxious but I enjoyed seeing him in the film.

He had one of the worst, most forced callback to the first film (Actually even his name is a callback) Him yelling "Its a madhouse!" was so, so bad.

The damn dirty ape line was on the nose but set up the NO! moment. It played off so many different elements of the series. The original "dirty ape" line was how Taylor revealed he could speak. Caesar's response of NO doing the same was so damn great.

I actually went to a panel with Felton at St. Louis comicon last year. I was really surprised that a lot of the questions and discussion ended up being about his time working on Rise of the Planet of the Apes as opposed to just Harry Potter topics.

CGI creations look so, so much better when covered in dirt or makeup or whatever. In particular in Avatar, all of the Na'vi looked way better towards the end once they were speckled with ash and dirt.

i agree. the navi should always be dirty since they live in a forest. plus dirt gives the characters some history. there was an 1 hour presentation where someone from ILM talked why the transformers looked so much better when dirty. and how at ILM they still dont understand why Bay wants all the cars to be super clean.

Its what made this one of my favorite CG shots ever. It looks even better at higher resolutions.

After I go a while without watching Avatar I find myself getting really excited thinking about things from it I really liked until I finally sit back down and watch and am underwhelmed all over again. Haha.

Just from watching that last trailer I can tell that the chimp with the scar and an under bite is planning to usurp Caesar. That chimp along with Gary Oldman are going to ruin any chance of human and apes getting along. Gosh darn it. :(

I don't think this film will end well for our friend Caeser.

Koba likely betrays him and gets the other apes to assassinate him similar to what happened to Julius Caesar when he tried to reform Rome and change the status quo. Koba hates humans and only holds back because of his respect for Caesar, but that respect and patience will likely be worn thin leading to Caesar's assassination.

While Rise is one of my favorite films, i hope Dawn has interesting human characters.

You really have to zoom in to see that's CG. It's that good.

what you wrotte would be a groundbreaking movie for hollywood standards.

the problem is that Caesar is the main character and they are building a big franchise. at least 5 movies IMO. more money the better. and they need the same character in all movies. they also need Serkis to promote the movie.

Yeah that's why I think they'll just go the route of having one of Caesar's family bite it.

Maybe when Koba and Caesar have their falling out, it will lead to civil war among the apes.

I can see them doing that, killing Caesar in the next one and having Serkis play Caesar's grow up offspring in another sequel to face Koba.

There is no way humans would be put into cages and be hunted down under Caesar's rule. It would be out if his established character.

Either that or Koba orchestrating an assassination and putting the blame on humans just to further his agenda.
