Oh God that was so fantastic. Summer 2014 is going to be really special

Wow is the word for those trailers.

Burton's Apes had fantastic makeup work which still holds up, though his was mostly an homage to the original.

Looks really good, but I can already tell that I'm going to hate Gary Oldman's character.

The makeup and set design was amazing but it's so surreal how the film is just out of the public's consciousness, include the geek lexicon.

All I remember is Estella Warren or whatever her name was.

Burton buried her with all the DVDs of the film in his gothic backyard.

Trailer looks fantastic. :awesome:

is it a waste? Roth ,Giamatti,Clarke Duncan and Carter gave amazing performances. i like how they acted inside the makeup as apes

I always thought Burton's was pretty underrated,No where near as great as the original or Rise but I still think it's enjoyable and interesting enough,It's in my POTA dvd collection

At one point, I thought it was Burton's worst movie. Now that honor goes to Charlie and the Chocolate Factor/Alice in Wonderland.

It wasn't that bad.

At the very least, it was considerably better than his Alice.

Alice is his 'SELL OUT' movie. Sounds like a cliche because he's done plenty of commerical films but this one..this one is the one that made me go 'Wow, that's just soulless'.

The whole thing was just too dreary and Depp's dance sequence was an assault on my senses. :o

I enjoyed Alice.

I still enjoy Burton's Apes also.

Charlie and the Chovolate Factory is pure **** tho. Depp's performance aside.

That's cute, Marv, but no. :o

Alice was worse that Charlie. Burton's Apes is watchable because of the makeup and Roth's performance but it's not a good film.

Visually, Burton's Apes was a delight. Make-up, production design, everything.... it's the story that made everything turn to crap.

Honestly, as good as the CGI is with the new movies, I do sometimes wonder what kind of magic we'd be getting from Serkis if he was in ape make-up.
