DC characters who deserve to have their own films

If anything seeing so many DC characters in the DC universe I thought to myself there are so many characters in this universe who have not been on film on the big screen and personally characters who should be:

Green Arrow, Steel, The Question, Booster Gold and Hawkman

Yeah forget that movie haha, but that is a great character and story. An African America character in a gritty, urban environment, taking on street gangs and youth violence, a very important issue.

Ideally for me, they would have built up Superman's character a little more before his death, maybe he sacrifice's himself in Justice League. I think his self sacrifice is an important plot point, it proves his bravery, commitment, and altruism to the world and the other heroes. In between his death and return, they give us the World Without/ Return of Superman film with Steel, Superboy (I think he could be a popular character if written well), The Eradicator, and Cyborg (or maybe just Cyborg). They could even introduce Green Lantern towards the end.


I think David Ayer would be a good director for a movie like that. Who would play Steel though...

And of course, I'd like to see Dick Grayson/Nightwing in his own movie. It's a shame the DCEU isn't making connected series, like Marvel's Netflix shows. Nightwing (and Gotham Central) would both make awesome shows. Batfleck could even make a cameo or two, showing flashbacks of Batman pushing Grayson (and Barbara Gordon)!away after the death of the last Robin, so Nightwing is patrolling Bludhaven.

I'm really hoping for some version of the Nightwing character, even if it's just a smaller role in one of the ensemble movies. I think they purposefully didn't reveal anything about the Robin suit in BvS, to keep the option open.

Martian Manhunter franchise would be actually sort of interesting

They should have used him as an anchor to launch the JL franchise.

He Should have appeared as an anonymous fedora and trench coat wearing slightly out of place/time looking detective randomly in a crowd in MOS, as Superman first appeared.
Then the same anonymous guy should have appeared again in a random crowd scene in BvS
Then again in Flash as Flash first uses his powers.
Then again in GL as they first show up on Earth, etc.
Finally in the reboot Batman film, have the post credit scene as Batman is in the cave on the computer, has all these scenes together up on screen in a loop.
As he leans in and realizes it's the same guy standing in every scene... Camera pulls back, and he's standing right there behind him in the Batcave, as the fedora and trench coat fade into J'onn J'onzz.

I doubt it will ever happen but I think a Starman (Jack Knight) movie could be really interesting. A legacy hero film isn't something we get very often and Opal City is a unique setting.

Deathstroke for sure. Nightwing could work , too, although he'd probably work better in a live action series ala Arrow or Daredevil.

The Doom Patrol IMO would be an interesting one to make a film adaptation because there's a dark underbelly to it that could be explored because you have Niles Caulder who caused the 'accidents' that gave the Doom Patrol their abilities and also the fact that they're considered freaks in a world populated with metahumans.

I'd also love to see a Metal Men film done in the style of an action comedy. Maybe Will Magnus in a future DC film that could pave the way for the Metal Men to come into fruition
