Thoughts on these/any future projects?

Given the importance of Superman in what Gunn is putting together, I’m a little surprised that we don’t have a Superman-related project that’s been announced. I could maybe see something like “Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen” working in animated form.

The animated medium might also be best for a lot of Elseworlds concepts too. I’d love to see Batman & Dracula: Red Rain animated horror film or a Dark Knights of Steel animated series.

There’s a treasure trove of amazing art-styles already there with the comics, and if they can simply translate those styles into high quality animation then I’ll be a happy camper.

Characters like Flash, Aquaman, WW who had recent (and poorly received) DCEU efforts are the characters I think WB may take down the animation route instead (Hal Jordan prequel stories as well).

The success of Spider-Verse hopefully has shown to WB how the fresh possibilities of animation are a real benefit in the fatigued market. Spider-Verse was the highest grossing superhero film that year after all.

Dynamic Duo is a promising start
(well I guess Creature Commandos is the start, but that’s the opposite of promising with its extremely generic style and premise).
