Baddie on No Man's Land for those who are talking about it. Deadlink.

I'm soooooo new to PS3. Use to my computer for MMOs. Few questions.

In WoW to target mobs you could click on them or press Tab and it would cycle through all the surrounding mobs. Since I'm on a PS3 I have no idea how to do this. I can not even seem to manually target anyone and it's a bit annoying when I'm trying to PvP or just kill time in the safe house. If anyone has any suggestions on this that would be great.

I guess that's about it actually. I bought a keyboard for the PS3. It's small. annoying. Having to press select to enter the chat channel everytime then press X to type text is different then just typing really fast on the keyboard. I'm hoping I will get better and faster at this as I get use to it. If anyone has any short cuts that would be great as well.

Last, is there a way to take screen shots with a PS3?

Thanks guys, I could google this all or research it, but I really wanted to just touch base with all of you. Going back for a while now. Girl went to sleep so it's on!

You can target individuals with the PS3 controller by pressing L1. And there isn't a way to take screen shots with the PS3. Easiest thing to do would be to just take a picture of your tv screen with a camera.

Side-note: I bumped into a lvl 9 hero with my lvl 4 villain and I don't know why but I attacked him. He then turned around and beat me into the ground without breaking a sweat. :hehe:

This is why the primitive ass timer on the colas has to go in an update. It's nothing but a cause for frustration.

You kidding me? Every MMO has a timer on their potions cause if you could spam them it would be gamebreaking.

So... those of you with the PC version, what controller are you using?

Mouse/Keyboard. Works amazingly once you get used to it. Much better than using a controller, which is always going to be slightly wonky and less responsive.

It's a primitive game play device. Doesn't matter if it's an MMO thing. Nothing game breaking about it either. There are other ways to get around making the game too easy, you know.

I know L1 holds the target but I don't think it cycles through all nearby targets does it? Or allow me to target fellow allies to see what level they are and what not?

Man, the heroes were out tonight in full force. Sirius, level like 25 for one. Kept running into her in Chinatown. lol. I tried my hardest each time at least. :)

AND for all the villains on No Man's Land. Squirrel here has proposed starting a Legion up. So I say we compile a list here of everyone who wants to join so we will know what were dealing with and HOPEFULLY will not be a waste of time (Had a lot of bad guilds in WoW) .

We can also discuss a name and etc.

I would like a name that has something to link us to the hype, yet still sounds awesome. So maybe if were good enough and kickin' ass, the heroes and what not will be able to tell we are hypsters.

On that note. I'm going to bed. I'll talk to 'yall tomorrow.

Yes, because being able to spam potions that heal you for 75% of your health/power non-stop isn't gamebreaking at all. :whatever::whatever::whatever:

I get that you're new to MMO's and (likely) gaming in general from your responses in this thread and in the MvC3 thread, but come on. Seems like everything you simply don't like is written off "bad design", rather than (mostly) your poor planing and execution.

Me new to gaming? Oh dear god. Been playing since the NES days. So yeah.

Just...yeah. I usually don't do this, but ignore list. I've never seen someone more full of their own opinions than you.

I don't like that the mouse is always linked to the Look Around mode or that I can't turn using keys.

I need to buy a keyboard that'd work with my PS3 as I hate having to scroll through the **** interface that the PS3 has.

I just hate how the chat was working. Still hate that I have that screen pop up with all the letters and etc. I'm not use to that. But I bought this little 45 dollar keyboard that hooks to the controller. Not to found of it so I just hooked my USB keyboard up. Gonna' use that. I'm a way faster typer. Be nice if I could get my WoW settings up entirely on the PS3 :)

I don't think you'd ever get the exact same set up as you do when your playing WoW on this game. Too much is different in terms of interfaces. For one WoW's chat works or is flooded with actual responses half the time. This is slowly getting there though.

So, I bought the game for the PC before and I went to subscribe. Everytime I go to confirm my card info I get a payment error. I have more then the subscribed amount needed to sign up, even though the first month is free. Anyone know what may be the problem?

I've logged out about 5 times in a row now because of lack of sound. Hopefully that's the first thing fixed in the next patch/update.

Anyone know what mission this is? Did it but couldn't find it in my list.

I was doing a kiosk mission and ran by star labs in Gotham. Saw it had an entrance for me so I checked it out. I teleported to the star labs spacestation. Then to the batcave. Fought a robot batman. I have no idea what the mission is called or how to get it. I just saw a orange circle and went in. I completed it and saw a movie. It's level 30 mission. I basically did it and don't know if I got a reward. There is no mission in my inventory.

Yeah man, opinions like

"Megaman won't be in MvC3 as said by the guy who's leaked 100% stuff before"

or

"Ryu and Ken play completely and totally different"

or

"Potions need a timer otherwise it would be gamebreaking"

Yeah, those suer are opinions and not facts. Gotta love the kids who don't know how to properly respond or argue themselves into a corner then cry IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE!

It's a continuation of a T.O. Morrow quest. You do a dungeon with him and fight red tornado, then go to star labs, then to the batcave, i believe.

I was having the same problem, and honestly, I don't know how it fixed itself but it did. You should go to the station website forums. http://forums.station.sony.com/dcuopc/forums/show.m?&forum_id=60

Oh ok, yeah I don't think there is a way to do that. I know I can look at fellow allies but you have to go through the menu system. :csad: In the chat section you can click on somebody's name and inspect them and it will show their rank and etc. But that is a hassle to go through if you are in a hurry.

Yea even though from what I understand the heal moves my character has will target who has the lowest HP--though personally I haven't seen that as the case but maybe it is certain moves--I really wish I could target fellow heroes. Because if I'm randomly in town and see a hero fighting some baddies I'd wanna throw down some heals for them if I'm in the right stance. There is a way to throw an AoE heal move that is actually the best but you'd think a simple "target and quick heal" would be an easy and basic option.

I had that b/c I was entering the buddy code instead of my own activation code so it tried to charge me the $49.99 for the game

Tried that did absolutely nothing for me because I keep getting hit before the animation is over.

Stay above where the yellow lanterns are floating. If you have ice beam (or whatever it's called) you can take out the four floating RIGHT away. There should then only be about two yellow lanterns left and it gets easier from there.

The Manhunter is still a pain.... but I always stay back and let him focus on the GL's.

Thanks.

My mentor is superman. Do I need batman as my mentor to fight red tornado? I never got to fight red tornado. I didn't have a mission for the star labs spacestation but could do it anyway. I feel like I'm missing part of the story.

one thing I don't like about this game is how hard it is to see a new mission in an area you are going. Your mentor sends you to an area. You start fighting then make your way around the area and find a mission or not. Like the metronome is a good example. You go fight at the metrodome but then if by chance you go across the street where you would never think to go you will find 2 mission givers on a building. They give you a mission for the top of the metrodome. As a speedster I'm on the ground running and most missions givers are up on a building ledge somewhere. Sure there is an "!" on your map but it only appears if you are near them. When I play as a flyer I have no problem because I can see the light as I approach. But being a speedster i always run at ground level.

Whenever i go to a new area I always get up high and look for a purple beam, as that registers a quest giver. Unfortunately it sucks because it's also a race. that's fooled me a couple times. but I rarely miss quests.

I don't know if Batman has to be your mentor. He was mine when I did it.
It might just be a matter of starting the right string of quests, though. Depending on how high level you are, you might have just skipped passed the earlier part of the missions. I know the game does that.
