ive got another 5.5gig update going on..anyone else have this???

An unforseen issue has resulted in all US servers coming down. The Team is deploying fixes immediately and we expect the servers to be back in about an hour. Forums are also down at the moment, due to the massive number of players trying to log in there - they are in the process of being restarted. Whenever i go to a new area I always get up high and look for a purple beam, as that registers a quest giver. Unfortunately it sucks because it's also a race. that's fooled me a couple times. but I rarely miss quests.

I don't know if Batman has to be your mentor. He was mine when I did it.
It might just be a matter of starting the right string of quests, though. Depending on how high level you are, you might have just skipped passed the earlier part of the missions. I know the game does that.

the purple light gets me too, i follow them and its only a race. for a flyer its easier to find the missions, for a speedster you have to hop buildings and turn your camera to try and catch a glimpse of an area. seems a bit like they didn't expect us to be speedsters. i can't tell you how hard it is to run up a leg of a watertower or pipeline. you just end up circling the damn structure. the worst part is some of the races make you run up them as well. just getting to one of the kiosk in gotham's arkham island was difficult. the one on the water tower.

So, rumor has it that next month we may see the first major update...which COULD include the currently worked on electric power set.

I don't think you'd ever get the exact same set up as you do when your playing WoW on this game. Too much is different in terms of interfaces. For one WoW's chat works or is flooded with actual responses half the time. This is slowly getting there though.

Ya know...despite the clunky chat UI (which I here is being worked on for the big update) I've found plenty of people still use chat and it's been VERY useful in finding people to take on Grundy and the other big names.

I've had fun with those Wanted posters I really want a ton more of them in a future update. Same goes for Alerts.

Agreed.
I actually find myself doing them multiple times and if someone announces they see one of the baddies, my wife and I usually jump in and help...or if we happen to see a big battle going on as we are flying by we'll stop and help.

It just makes the whole game experience seem like a really interactive world.
And really loving the alerts!!

Btw...speaking of Alerts. I heard there are different difficulties. That true? I've only done each Alert once so far...wasn't sure what difficulty.

I made my first PVP character on...crap what's the name. Blood and Glory or something like that. Never done open PVP servers before in any MMO. I think we'll be ok though. My wife and I also duo...I think that might make villains think twice before coming after us randomly.

i just put the word out that anyone who wants to take down arkillo for example just show up and we fight together. i always get people who show up and we are atleast 5. i guess it's better than asking for a group to join you. some people have the mentality that grouping locks you in and they feel like they are stuck with you afterwards. this way people show up and they leave when we are done. or maybe they don't like to group up because they think what if he has a mic and i have to type or something. so me just saying just show up is less intrusive i guess. either way i always find people. yesterday i did group with 2 people though and we did the judge, arkillo, minotaur, korax, then went to gotham and did clayface, nepheritos, and killer cold. the hardest ones were nepheritos and killer cold for some reason. with a group you can do alot more, but if your looking to just down one just put the word out and not that you are looking to group up.

Cool. I'm using Fire with Dual Wield and Acrobatics. Acrobatics has definitely become my favorite movement method.

I like how at lvl 9, acrobatics pretty much becomes flight

I'm surprised that Electricity wasn't included at launch. I remember them mentioning the Flash being Electric/Super Speed when the game was first announced.

I've only ever seen the Minotaur. These guys must spawn everywhere I'm not standing lol
