Couldn't have said it better myself. Captain Marvel's not great, but she's also not Hal, which makes her better than Hal by default.

Wow, this might be the toughest choice of any round so far for me. Both awesome in similar ways but still not a main character etc.
Gonna go with Absorbing man by a hair though, because he was in a great story with the Sentry in an issue related to Civil War called The Return.
