Anyone watch this show last night?

What did you think?

I didn't...but judging by most of my friend's status updates at least 100 people did.

Dead set: awesome. It has Snyder's running zombies.

Pffft! Zombies don't run.

Was alright i suppose just the same old same old. "get 'em in the head" routine, just the same as any other zombie film in the past 10 years, least Rameros had a story and a underlying meaning to his films.

gotta say i loved this...

written by charlie brooker how can it be bad? i was laughing my ass off when the "zombies" broke in and started slaughtering the crew to the tune of mika...

I think this show will live or die by how they keep the tension going. I really liked the first episode, but theres a lot of space for them to trip up now. Also, did anyone else not start to really like the producer? I know he's gonna die, but I'm secretly hoping he'll live.

2nd ep was kinda dull really...just your basic zombies arrive, people run, people hide thing going on. i have faith it'll get better tonight, the stuff with the producer trapped in the room with an idiot is what i'm looking forward to

Yeah some of the lines he threw at her were brilliant.

And im anxious to see whats gonna happen in the greenhouse whilst Kelly and that are at the supermarket. I think the boyfriend is gonna come save the day in some way but I got my suspicions that the blonde, the old guy,the cross dresser, the curly haired guy and the bird with the gun are gonna snuff it...gangsta boy and kelly will live...idiot girl is a gonna too and i reckon she'll be the one to kill the producer...irony and all that.

i'm actaully hoping instead of having a tiny group of humans hold up for a while that brooker has done something good and wipes them all out. i understand that leaving four people alive is kinda scary but wiping them all out is a much more down beat note and rarely used in films...

Yes im liking this alot too Did all the real past Big Brother contestants get eaten then?? Cos i must have missed that bit....

Yeah they stood there looking gormless and got eaten

Only good thing about last night was "aphex twin track :D"

Was pretty much Dawn of the dead last night

i'd assume they all got either eaten of zombiefied...

the only ones alive are the producer, the idiot, the boyfriend, the gun girl and the house mates....for now...

I really love this show (cult classic in the making) but I really hope that only one person lives at the end of this (1 person left standing big brother style).

Another laughable dawn of the dead story line

I liked last nights episode. The storyline of the boyfriend making his way to save his girlfriend is gonna be good but I think its gonna end in tears for his female friend.

As for the house mates, that blonde proved her worth last night but she's still gotta die...blonde bimbos die in horrors...cliche and all that.

nice to see a well made british production!
cinematography is great in this and the camera work is superb!

ps,

everyone should go to www.unseenscreen.com

a window pop ups asking for your name and date of birth.
fill them in and then watch the video that loads up straight after!

your name is written in blood by that girl trapped in the room!
absolutely mental!

how the hell do they do that?!!

the problem with zombie films is they always end up inthe same way. It isn't anything really special.

I give them props for going all out on the gore though

last nights kinda bored me...

it's pretty much same old same old now. but i do like the producer guy...his character is the highlight of the show

OK i have to say the production value of this mini film was really good. I liked the style and i liked the Fx on the zombies.

But **** me that story was piss poor and predictable at every major point.
And its one thing having a homage to another zombie film, but having THAT many and having them pretty much frame for frame as the original is just poor.

When the producer was killed that was just Day of the Dead frame for frame! hell he might as well have been shouting "choke on 'em!!!"

Story wise they could have done so much more but hats off to them for trying :D

GRRR I noticed the last post was by Lord Valumart at 7.11pm, so I thought "phew, no spoilers for tonights episode as it's only just finished and no one has posted", so I entered the thread at the exact moment you do :(

Awww sorry man

Look into this please

*ZAAAAAPP*

Ok you didnt see anything!

lol it's ok, just a bit freaky you posted in the time it took for me to open the thread. You can never really spoil zombie dramas much, they usually end the same way. Did anyone notice that the name 'zombie' was not used once in Dead Set!?

True that, bit like how Zombie was never used in 28 days later they were "The infected"
