What is going through Didio's mind?!!! I can't believe he greenlighted the new Deadman and Martian Manhunter books!

Deadman is a classic character with a classic look and now that's been taken away so that we can have yet another t-shirted, jeaned angst driven nobody.

I'm willing to bet that this sinks pretty quickly.

The same can be said for Martian Manhunter. Why the new costume?!!! First - It's terrible. J'onzz look was iconic. This new thing is just plain ugly and forgettable.

Hey, gang, if you want to redo a classic costume ... Alan Scott's in definite need of a makeover ... not Jonn.

Alan Scott's costume rocks.
Yeah, there is nothing wrong with his suit. It hasn't changed in 66 years, and never should.

It has changed, but it always goes back. There's a reason for that.

cough sentinal cough:o

Mr.Assass, you need to look up a post, it's already been mentioned that the costume had changed before, but it always goes back to the classic version.

Why does that happen? Oh yeah, cause it rocks.

Deadman having a more human form? Awesome, as long as his skeletal daredevil outfit isn't completely forgotten. When in cameos that should be the default costume, but in his own ongoing? A human appearence would really help the story along.

And about J'onns' new outfit. Read the issue of Wizard with the 'Queer Eye for the super guy' article, or whatever it was called. When it comes to the Manhunters 'classic' costume, the homosexuals thought it was perfectly queer the way it is.

The new J'onn looks like he didn't walk out of a Martian gay bar.

There was an... incident... involving spandex... and Alan Scott... old age muscle hugging clothes... let us never speak of it again, and instead bask in it's glory:

It wasn't a bad reimaging, but the classic costume is untouchable.

I think it worked with in the confinds of the story. Alan being deaged, new name and such.

But we're talking about the new Deadman. This Deadman isn't Boston Brand.

I wouldn't particularly mind a costume redesign for Alan, if only to make the colors work a little better, but I'll be damned if he's gotta give up that lantern symbol again. Forcing him out of the original GL name and logo just because those snot-nosed Corps punks came along was the real injustice of the Sentinel redesign. :o

Ahh, I didn't pick up the latest series so I didn't know that.

So no harm no foul then. Boston Brand is still around as the crazy looking Deadman you know and love.

This new guy is just using the working concept and giving it a more human appearence.

Uhm, no. Boston Brand won't be around for the duration. Vertigo characters, which Deadman has now become, are off-limits for the rest of the DCU. Don't count on seeing Boston Brand for another few years, long after this Deadman title has tanked.

Yeah, MM needs to be on the JLA. Yeah, you heard me *****es. "Oh, Im Brad meltzer, I dont nkow how to write him, waaaah!" Suck it up *****.:cmad:

Uh yes he does. The new costume is ALOT worse than the old one.

It still looks the same, just tighter. Same colors, same cape, same mask. The symbol is different(and a little uninspired).

Not the same colors, not the same cape, and the symbol's a lot different, actually.

boston was on the 1st issue of JLA so that vertigo theory is gone..

I heard that was in fact a
ruse of Felix Faust's
, but I haven't read the issue. I certainly hope they decided not to go through with the Vertigo thing.

it was
Faust, and that should have been obvious to anyone reading it...

not if you dont know jack **** about the guy you mentioned i dont want to put spoiler tags but you know who i mean

It didn't strike you as weird that
"Boston" changed into a weird guy in a helmet?

I was confused by that part too

poor illustration is all, I guessed that he wasn't really Deadman, but I didn't feel that it was illustrated clearly enough. I wasn't really sure.
