Derren Brown appeared to pull off his biggest stunt so far last night when he successfully predicted the National Lottery results.

The illusionist claimed to have printed his prediction on six white balls earlier in the day and these remained in shot, but facing away from the camera, throughout the programme.

After watching the live lottery announcement on BBC One, Derren walked across to the six white balls and turned them around to reveal the correct numbers.

So, how did he do it?

Here is a video of it to see him do it.

Or a close up of just the C4 channels.

I'm very curious to see how he pulled this off. One things for sure though, I think Channel 4 will have a major boost in ratings on Friday night.

I am so going to watch the show to how he did it, and then do it myself hahaha

Something tells me is didn't actually predict the future.

There will always be skeptism surrounding anything like this. Anyways, Derren Brown is a self-proclaimed Illusionist. :cwink:

It took him a year to do it and so something tells me it would take Joe Average 10 years to even get half the balls without it being a fluke.

This just shows that the lottery is fixed:o

He should have bought a ticket. Fake.

Apparently he is banned from buying a ticket.

Give the numbers to some poor slub and split the winnings.

lol there's no need to go around spouting "mental illusionist" when a shorter and cooler sounding title combines both: Mentalist. Darren Brown never fails to be amazing.

I want to see him win Randy's challenge. Then I will believe this.

Thats fine by me, its been about 9 years since i've been legally able to play it with no success so far. So I can wait another 10 years :cwink:

There is no way it can be "tv magic" camera tricks and the like, it has to be a maths system, because on friday if he just went "Oh one half of the screen was fake and we switched the balls"

No way would anyone tune in for the other shows he is doing, because they would feel cheated

1. Who is Derren Brown?

2. What is the National Lottery?

3. Is it more interesting than Shirley Jackson's THE LOTTERY?

He was, of course, being disingenuous with his claim that National Lottery organisers banned him from revealing the numbers beforehand because they had to be announced first by the BBC. Brown would only have been revealing his predictions, therefore the rule did not apply in this case

I want to know how ?? So I'll be watching I'll record it on friday, his good though at what he does.

Well yeah it did, because they WERE the numbers, so by law only the BBC can show the lotto numbers first, prediction or not they were the numbers for that night

They so happened to be the numbers at the end of the night but it was the predicted beforehand unless....

First video 6:17-6:18, look at the card, right vertical side next to the number 39.

Bit of real time editing involved methinks.

If he could predict the lottery he would not go on TV and show off this skill. He would win the ****ing lottery. Also he would easily get around "not being able to legally pay the lottery" or whatever ********tery he cooked up to make people believe that he can tell the future.

Go to a charity, give them the numbers, split it 50/50 via contract. :hehe:
