I may need to rewatch Episode 1 since it does sound like Syd is actually a separate personality of David's.

There's been like character promos which practically teased who's likely a separate personality. This [blackout]body switching[/blackout] instantly lets you know Syd is or she's being misdirected to be.

I think he has to be the Shadow King. He does look kind of like Mojo, but thematically and ability-wise, the Shadow King is the perfect foil here.

I think after watching the episodes a few times it really is the scene with the TV screens after the body switch that makes me lean toward Mojo. I also have a feeling that Hawley could have a lot of fun with Mojo, though I'm sure he'll have a bit of a different backstory. Shadow King is still a possibility, but I'm not sure if Shadow King trying to take over David is all that interesting to me. David can be evil enough by himself.

I'm also going with Shadow King at this point. He kind of reminded me of his human form, Amahl Farouk.

The emphasis on yellow does sound more like Mojo but if you google images for the Shadow King there is some imagery where he has yellow eyes.

I hope it's not shadow king or mojo. I hope he is mad and they are different personalities. Angry boy, lenny, yellow eyed demon, king all different aspects of himself.
He should be both the biggest hope and the biggest threat to the show and i think it wouldtake a lot away from his character and reduce scope for future plotlines if it was the shadow king manipulating him.

It was said in the latest episode that the "Monster" is like parasite. As in, a foreign entity not originally part of David's consciousness. My take on it is the demon attached itself to David's mind and has been wreaking havoc ever since, probably since he was a boy. The apparition of Lenny and the Angry Boy are manifestations of the demon.

Shadowking seems right. Still not sure. If they defeat him david (for me) has to have some residual trauma. A broken character going into season 2 is more interesting than an overpowered whole one. Be interesting to see where it goes.

I'm kind of hoping that Shadow King (presumably) isn't the only consciousness living within David, he's just soo powerful he's able to take control of them or use them as he wishes. I imagine once that persona has been defeated, we'll open up to much crazier aspects of David's life.

With David potentially being a beta personality in his own mind, it would be cool to see a power vacuum open up and have personalities vying for control once they've vanquished the devil with yellow eyes.
