The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Did anyone like ASM2 better than Cap2 & DOFP?

Hot female lead also. Some type of organization involved. Same plot.

That's way too far fetched. Emma Stone isn't in any way resembling someone like Megan Fox. Emma's character is not anything like Megan's and those are there for totally different purposes.

Some type of organization involved, I guess Batman v. Superman will be a "Bayformers" film as well because of LexCorp?

How in hell is it the same plot?

You're clearly grasping for straws here.

When I say the same movie I mean every film in the series is the same:

Transformers movies: robots invading, Decepticons wanna take over earth, autobots stop them, hot babes.

Spidey films: Peter conflicted about him powers, will he get the girl or won't he, he knows the villain, funeral at the end.

I haven't seen DOFP yet, but I greatly prefer ASM2 over CA:WS. I really enjoyed the new Cap movie, but like all of the MCU films (thus far), it was a very safe, "paint by numbers" film which is getting extremely tiresome to me (I'm holding out hope for GotG). ASM2 isn't without it's problems, but it was a far more enjoyable film for me, for many reasons (acting, characters, emotional impact, action, cinematography, CGI, action).

The two biggest let downs for me with CA:WS were the Peggy Carter romance of the first movie being downgraded to a single scene with no emotional weight behind it which is criminal; as well as that horrid bunker scene. God...and people thought Kafka was cheesy?!

In general I agree with you about the Marvel films, but both Cap movies have been sufficiently emotional for me to appreciate them. I teared up at the end of CA1 and during the hospital scene of CA2 so I can't complain. I was also genuinely nervous when the Winter Soldier made his first appearance, and that usually isn't a reaction I experience while watching CB movies.

The bunker scene really was horrid. Thank heavens it's only a post-credits scene so I don't ever have to watch it again if I don't want to.

I find TFA better than TWS, tbh. I really, really like TFA.

TASM2 - The parts that were good were really good, the parts that were bad were really bad. I gave it more credit for the good so it got a 6/10 from me.

If the whole film had been as much of a joy giver as that montage of Spidey doing his thing, foiling store robberies, being cool to people, etc., it would have been top tier stuff. Sadly, far from it.

I love that movie. So fun and pulpy and genuinely emotional. Awesome song, too. [YT]DxRKwKJI_uI&feature=kp[/YT]

I didn't watch the cap movie. DOFP is leagues above ASM2. It also had a great ending and one of the best post credit scenes imo.

A really good CA3 will essentially make this one of my favorite trilogies and easily over the Iron Man series.

sadly is true, well Spider-man 2 doesn´t have a funeral but yeah i could see the paralels

The rest of the score is great, too.

To be honest, I probably wouldn't like the film nearly as much, without it.

TWS kind of fell off a train off a side of a mountain. I guess that's as believable as being clotheslined in an alley and hitting your head off a pipe. Very similar indeed.

Harry lost his memory from being clotheslined and hitting his head on a pipe, while the winter soldier lost hiss memory from the ECT that they were giving him and in real life Electroconvulsive therapy can cause memory loss.

I liked Cap 2 and DOFP more than ASM 2 but neither of those two movies had me amped up like the ending of ASM 2 did. DOFP dispointed me in the action department, as I was really hoping to see a epic final battle between the two timelines but it wasn't what we got.... But it was still a great movie. ASM 2 is still a good movie in my opinon though.

It's easy to see how TASM2 was a far cry from what it could have been, but I still enjoyed it more than DOFP and CAP2.

The Amazing Spiderman 2 was the most disappointing movie I've seen this year. I almost fell asleep watching it, which has NEVER happened before.

Cap 2 and X-Men were LEGIONS better and probably among the best comic book films out there. TASM2 is pure mediocrity and I will probably never watch it again. I'll still watch the third one, sure, solely because I like the character of Spider-Man, but pretty much all my interest in this series has been sucked out now

I refuse to watch Days of Future Past, so I won't comment on that one
The Winter Soldier on the other hand, I love it more than Amazing Spider-Man 2

May I guess why? 'Cause I think I know why...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 > Captain America: The Winter Solider > X-Men: Days Of Futures Past

Agreed on all points.

Being a huge fan of Spider-Man, I can even say (although it hurts) it was no where near the quality of Days of Future Past and Winter Soldier. Those two easily made it on my top ten list.
