That seems like a lot to put into one movie. I never bothered reading the rest coz I was a bit shocked at how much you wanted to put into one movie.I've praying every night for a Digimon movie. Its on my list of scripts I wanna write. Personally I think it should be focused on the first season with Tai and the gang, but use elements of the Tamers season in explaining their creation. I feel as though it should be with an all Japanese cast, but that's just me. I'd love to see J.J. Abrams, Peter Jackson, or Del Toro take this.
First movie: Starts off with Highton View Terrace Greymon and Parrotmon battle flashback Show a young Tai watching it and then show government officials coming to clean the mess in which they label a terrorist attack. Most folks didn't really witness the battle and those who have have been silenced by the government, one of them being Tai. He grows up with his memories of the incident repressed and lives a normal life (he's had frequent check ins at a mental institute but he no longer has to go). At summer camp, Tai and the gang get drifted off into the Digital World where they meet with Genai who tells them of their destiny as the DigiDestined. They travel around the world and do battle with various monsters on their journey to defeat the evil Devimon. TK and Angemon (with the combined efforts of the team of course) defeat Devimon. In the end they're given the choice to return back to the Real World or stay and continue to fight in the DigiWorld. They go with the latter and the film ends with them beginning their battle against Devimon's master Myotismon.
That's why the season three characters makes more sense. With only 3 main digidestined and their partners to worry about you have less characters fighting for screen time. Even if you used them in the season one arcs it would work better.Guess I got carried away, haha. I always envisioned the whole "traveling the DigiWorld and battling monsters" part to be shown through a montage, like the Captain America and the Howling Commandos scenes, just to get a chance to showcase all the digidestined's digimon evolving into Champion level.

Takato "makes" Guilmon while at summer camp, the three digidestined get sucked into the DigiWorld where Henry and Rika meet their partners (Terriermon and Renamon). Then the three digidestined fight Digimon-X (Devimon or other) and minions (DemiDevimon, Ogremon and BlackGear Leomon?).
In a sequal you could add in other digidestined, maybe from other seasons. That way you could have an Angewomon Vs LadyDevimon show down.
I think a movie about season 3 could be more interesting if in the 1st movie there wasn't an exact villain, it would be more Takato meeting Gilmon and befriending other digidestined, impmon could play a kind of causing trouble guy.
The movie 1 should be more about them and instead of using big villains they could just find other digimon that escaped and cause havoc
Just making a first movie without a devinite villain could be like E.T. with godzilla monstersThat could be cool. And have them take the whole thing light-heartedly until they realize just how big of a threat it all is. Maybe he could find the Digidevice somewhere that Ty's father dropped/left/threw it away at.
You really like that bombing incident don't you?But E.T. HAD a definite villian! If we follow that route it would be the government that becomes the bad guy.
... actually, that's not a bad idea.
Have the government try to take Guilmon only to let him go when Parrotmon attacks. Guilmon gets destroyed in the fight as well and now we have our bombing incident!![]()

Government as a main villain again no but they could play a part and investigate the digiworld coming to life
I have no problem with it, i liked it, i think it serves better as a flashback than an introWhat's wrong with the bombing incident? I like it because It's the first time that you really have the monsters cross over and wreck things and it gives the main characters a common thread of witnessing the truth behind the attack.
I agree about them not being the villains, but I like the idea of them at least looking into it. Maybe the original coders realize what's really going on?

Ok, funny how many turns you could take with the story.Under the new idea, the incident would be the climax of the first movie and be flashbacks in the second. Would that be okay?

Here's another idea for a possible different adaptation
4 characters losely based on the ones of season 1.
They would be loselly based on Tai, Matt, T.K. and Sora, loselly based on the first story arc of season 1, have them explore the digiworld, defeat Devimon.
The problem is, i think there should be one movie devoted to the mega evolution (What the entire Entemon arc did) but this wouldn't probably last 6-7 films with the same kids
No, it means that we all already founf many ways to make digimon movie to workIs that "turns" thing a compliment?lol

If done right of course
In the entemon i sincerelly liked the metal greymon and skull greymon and how much it took for the evolution to be rightIs that "turns" thing a compliment?lol
I would suggest having Izzy in the group as well because with all of this computer stuff it should be fun to have an absolute nerd there with them. Maybe have them figure out Mega-evolution at the end of Act Two and have them learn Ultimate at the very end of the climactic fight? That way DNA Digivolution is much more amazing when they pull that out of nowhere at the end of the third movie.

If I was to write a Digimon movie I'd do movie 1 in real world so the full Digital World would draw fans back for the the sequel. But I was useing what Kar had said to say how I think that concept would work.I thought the point of doing the Season three characters was because of their storyline taking place mainly in the real world to leave room for full Digital World conversion in the sequel? If we are doing the S3 characters, I don't want them in an S1 story.

If people really want to go the route of the Season 1 story line they still shouldn't have 7 kids and 7 digimon. 14 main characters, plus bad guys, plus secondary characters is just too many. I would want to want to just cut out character so my idea is change the team for a whole other team from another season.
