i heard you can't fight your friends in the mp...smh. well honestly, this is a game where i'd probably suck at the mp anyways lol. but i gotta give it a shot for the trophy

Hey Nathan, I don't get it...I got the platinumsukamon just like you said, and he's on my fighter party, but he won't help the rest of my digimon level up quicker...?

Is he in your active party? He cannot be on the bench, he needs to be in battle. And one PlatinumSukamon only doubles your XP. You need two for the effect to stack. Also depending on the Area, you won't really notice a big XP gain. But that changes quickly when you give each of your PlatinumSukamons, two Tactician USBs. So try to farm those.

yeah he's in my active party, that's what I meant when I said fighter party. I haven't noticed if he doubles XP but damn I need two of him to really take effect? That means I'm only able to level up 1 digimon at a time

I now use Sakuyamon equipped with 3 Tactician USBs, two PlatinumNumemons equipped with 3 Tactician USBs each, and gain something between 30-40K XP replaying the Digital Line in the Mirror Dungeon. And I always got 2-3 Digimon with me in my party, benched, and level them up that way.

but I need two platinumsukamons in my fighter party right? And how do I increase the attack power of my digimon? I have a blackgarurumon at level 28 but he needs 90% attack power to digivolve...so I need to level him up more or what? There's no items that can increase it?

You can increase stats by training your Digimon on the DigiFarm. Just look up a guide, it will explain it better than I ever could.

i'm waiting till I can post on gaf again. but, in between the time that we've had this conversation, I've gotten a blackweregarurumon, a bluemetalgreymon, a gatomon, a geogreymon, and a greymon.

I got the 3 platinumsukamons, but I feel like it is still taking a very long time to get the reserves to level up.

Where do you get the tactician usbs? And how do I equip them?

Follow these steps.

-1.Set 10 builders in your area(Eden entrance sells items to convert digimon into builder types)
-2.Get as many of the item that makes development go better(Developer Know-How) from Mireis place, it's 25k
-3.Use 2 or more islands if you can at once
-4.Use the 1000 yen option
-5.Save at the 1 minute mark, RNG is not determined til the last second so you can save scum this
-6.Reset if you're not even Tactician USB(You get 2 at once)

Then to equip them, you go into the Digimon Menu. You'll have 2 options, Organize and Settings. Organize lets you switch your Digimon around, and Settings allows you to change your Digimon's active abilities, and lets you add items that they'll carry into battle.

I watched some gameplay of the early parts of the game and came away really impressed. Is the game good throughout?

Bunch of translation errors, otherwise, a pretty good rpg, if you like traditional JRPGs. Already spent 60 hours in the game, and I'm only at Chapter 15 out of 20 I think.

i'm biased because digimon is a nostalgia factor for me but apparently this game is very similar to the persona series, and persona 5 is one of the most anticipated games of this year

if you're interested and can afford it, i say go for it. there's also multiplayer but i don't really care about that
