Global Warming is indeed BS - it's been proven over and over again. Earth has gone through numerous climate changes millions of years ago way before man showed up to ruin the planet.
Okay well then let's put it this way. If it is a cycle, and not caused by human activity, then it's still not ending any time soon. Cycles last hundreds if not thousands of years. So if the ice caps melt and extreme weather conditions plague us due to whatever the hell you want to call it, it is still going to be a problem.

So in fact in this particular cycle the "globe" is "warming".

That doesn't mean it's "BS".
Man's worldwide behaviour may not be the cause of a massive change, but it simply can't be denied that it has an effect.
You can't sit in a small room smoking for 50 years without turning the walls yellow.

No it is not. Anything that says it is is probably just propoganda from oil/gas companies.

Yup, Crichton got paid by the oil/gas companies to write this

so, yeah.
kids, the lesson here?
whatever stance Gamma Ray takes, is kinda safe to say that the opossite side is probably correct.

I've kind of been operating under that model for awhile now.

Okay, fine - Global Warming is partially true. We are not the sole cause by far.

Global Warming is true.

Are we the cause? No.

Has this happened before? Yes.

Is there anything we can do about it? Nope.

What can we do? Survive, like we've been doing for hundreds of years.

Global Warming may or may not be a natural effect of the Earth. We are making it go faster with our polloution. We need more hybird and electric cars and less pollution so Global Warming won't be so bad.

Even if it is or isn't true, what's the harm in mankind doing what it can to limit the amount of pollution it produces?

Here's what I think about global warming. Those that do beleive in it, overblow it and those that don't underestimate it.

Global warming is a natural process and many tend to forget about it. The Earth is currently experiencing a warming phase in the global warming cycle. Those that say that we are overdue for an ice age are full of it. Though the warming phase is going too fast due to the actions of mankind and we do need to work to slow it down to a more natural pace.

Global warming caused by humans is real.

Global climate changes occuring naturally throughout history is real.

Global climate changes occuring naturally throughout history....BUT....being accelerated by humans is the real current problem.

That's what I just said :cmad:

Al Gore invented global warming like he did the internet.

GR seems to operate under the assumption that global warming means that it can't get cold anywhere. For what it's worth, it was ridiculously warm in Kansas most of last winter, so early snowfall somewhere doesn't say much about global warming as a concept.

The idea of an apocalyptic scenario on par with Day After Tommorow is most likely full of it. However, the amount of damage the shift in degrees could do to the microchasms that make our environment run smoothly could be catastrophic to our style of life. The damage to agriculture as a result of change in soil could be a huge problem. The change in weather, with more severe storms occuring more often and out of what we consider seasons to be could have sweeping effects across many of the aspects that let us live the way we do.

the north polar cap is melting. the oceans are warmer and warmer everyyear. as chunks of ice from the north polar cap break off and melt they make their way south and they threaten to flatten out the earth's elninyo cycle. if that flattens out warm air and water fromt he equator will no longer travel throughout the globe and actually cause an ice age.

don't know about you right wingers but I don't want the human race to freeze to death.

Almost makes me want to learn how to do CGI effects, so I could make better effects than that.

Spider-Bite. An Ice-Age would suck. Most of the wold population would starve or freeze to death. I hope all of my loved ones are dead by then, because no one deserves to be in a Ice-Age. :o but that isn't happening any tiiiiiiiiiiiime soon.

*pushes glasses up*

:o yes, I am near sited. Perhaps even legally blind.

yeah it probably is but global warming has become a political issue now so neither side will pay attention to an opposing scientific find.
