Discussion: Jonathan Krohn (the 14 year old from CPAC)

Shows the Success of Home Schooling vs Govenrment Schooling.

Intelligent kid....damn more intellectual than I was at 14

On one hand, I'm pretty damn impressed. But on the other, that kid is probably never gonna get laid :(

But Conservatives get Groupies all the time, don't they?

Only after they're married. Then they have to dump the body when she dies while being handcuffed, and he wakes up with a hangover

Ted Kennedy is a Liberal, and she wasn't handcuffed, she drowned in the backseat as he paced back and forth contemplating his Political Career.

Why are you obsessed with Ted Kennedy, especially since I never mentioned him at all in the post you quoted

You mentioned what you thought was a Conservative politician that killed someone, you must have meant Ted Kennedy who killed Mary Jo Kopechne, right?

I just don't understand why this kid is so interested in political theory when he hasn't lived long enough to really see its effects on the real world.

I don't care how smart he is, he's still a little boy just growing out of a naive childhood.

No, I wasn't mentioning any politician in particular. In fact, the one I mentioned was a fictional Senator from The Godfather Part 2.

Besides, there are countless examples of Republican and Democratic Senators and Representatives that are married who have someone on the side. And some of those politicians main issues are related to "family values".

We all were like that at one time, and unfortunately in this country, most of us never grow out of it. Maybe he just learned to be more politically aware at an earlier age. Imagine how this country would be if more kids his age were actively aware of their political surroundings, no matter what side of the ailse they were on.

Oh, by the by, Alexander Hamilton was writing Political Essays at the Same Age as this kid.

I was born a skeptic, and when I turned 11 I was already cynical about politics because I had either seen or read several accounts of corrupt politicians.

I didn't find him any more impressive than Levi of Jesus Camp. He's articulate, but not much else.

I should add that I wouldn't call him brainwashed, at least no more so than any child that believes in Christianity, or in his case, Judaism, because his parents believed as well. They tend to be well versed for children in their stories and traditions and certainly believe them fully, but are probably still capable of rejecting them if they so choose, my problem with him mostly is that he's just a circus attraction. Mean spirited entertainers, meak politicians, Hip Hop and eight year old firebrands aren't really the way to win back the hearts and minds of the American people. They're just gimmicks, and the sooner the Republicans get away from them the better off they'll be.

And a lot of good that did him when he dueled Aaron Burr
By that point, he was already a Founding Father, a War Hero, and the First Secretary of the Treasury. The Duel was silly, but doesn't change the fact that he helped bring about the Greatest Nation on earth.

And he had a s***ty proposal for the constitution

Maybe we should change the thread title to "Discussion: Alexander Hamilton"

Nah, I did try to find this Kid's book this weekend for my Girlfriends 8 year old Nephew. Couldn't find it. I guess you can only get it on his website.

I've read it. I just wanted to know why you thought that way. Infact, I just bought the Federalist Papers to read as soon as I finish a couple of other books.
