Recently, the following petition was submitted to the White House on the Petitions.Whitehouse.gov website: This was the White House response:

This is incorrect as those in the middle class would have 0% income taxes and would only pay taxes on spending over the poverty level. All needs would be met at 0% taxation. Even if they spend over the poverty level, they decide how much taxes they remit based on their own spending habits.
