Angelina Jolie will lend her voice to the story based on the book about a captive gorilla who has spent years in an enclosure watching tv and painting only to meet a baby elephant that reminds him of his time before becoming a zoo phenomenon.

Growing up and seeing Ivan at the B&I throughout my childhood was always a special thing. It wasn't until I got older that I realized how sad his captivity was.

Excited to see how they handle this material.

I just watched it after work tonight I really liked it the cast (especially the voices) were on point and I have to say the CGI is damn near flawless at parts props to the FX company that did the work.

Basically they could have done this with Lion King in regard to facial expressions but I won't beat that horse.

yeah it was night and day oh well I liked both but what they did in Ivan was amazing

It was fine. Kids who read the book will like it but doubt it will hold anyone else’s interests.
