So a while back, KAL sent me the Indiana Jones trailer on divx for use of my PS3.

Just... how do I get it all to work? I can't find any step by step instructions as to how to get that trailer on the PS3. Do I upload it on me PC and then transfer it to my PS3 or something?

Sorry I'm so dumb. :(

something called psmediatunnel worked for me. I forgot the website... But it's very easy to use once it's downloaded... (I got it to work :P)

usb thumb and flash drives work for me whenever i want to get stuff from my computer to my ps3.

I have my PC and PS3 hooked up through a router. I recommend this because of the ease of not having to transfer all your stuff over from your PC through flash or thumb drives. If you have a digital camera or PSP, just save the file to it and then transfer it to your PS3. You need to make sure you have a PS3 folder setup on the device first, and in it a VIDEO folder (all caps). Then place the video in it.

This should help as well.

i've used tversity, windows media sharing and an external hard disk.

I just throw my files onto my flash drive and transfer it that way.

Like the poster above said, for your PS3 to read the file you need to make a folder titled "VIDEO" and put the video files in there.

BTW...how do I get my PS3 to use my own jpg as a background? I made a folder called "PHOTO" but that didn't seem to work.

If I remember correctly you just hit triangle and it brings up an options menu. There should be a selection "set as wallpaper" or something like that. If not, try viewing the photo first then hit triangle.

I think it is "PHOTOS". Give it a try and see if it works.

Yeah, I've tried both of those but the "Set as Wallpaper" function says that there are no photos found and to check them in the PHOTO column, and the USB drive says it doesn't find any pics either.

Just tried that and still no luck. :( Thanks anyway!

I looked it up in the manual and it says "PICTURE".

That's it! Thanks!

Stupid Sony.

Your XMB requires the files for the "VIDEO" column to be in a folder titled "VIDEO". Good...makes sense...

But your XMB requires the files for the "PHOTO" column to be in a folder titled "PICTURES". Just stupid. tsk tsk tsk.

Thanks for the help! :) I've got Spidey in my BG now. :)
