Do any scenes ever give you those spine chills?

When something's really awesome I tend to get shivers... not sure if anyone can relate. It's like an excited tickle in the... mind? The spine? I am not sure.

For me, it's the Comic Con footage... the way the bells sound with the eerie silence, followed by the long dark pause and evil noises in the background, followed by the older version of Venom and his arguably cooler scream... gets me every time.

Also, the death of the Green Goblin from SM1 was also a very cool scene, and very funny too ("Oh.")

I only got them once, during Spider-Man 2, when Octavius first straps on those tentacles and wills them to life. I was seeing my fav villain being brought to life on screen.

So yeah, that was a special moment for me.

I got those shivers when the Marvel logo and the music and the titles began for SpiderMan 2.
Also with the train sequence, when Spidey is almost hit by the train and then Octopus sent him to the street.
I'll tell you what happens in 16 days :) I'm sure those main titles will make the same effect on me

D!

I think I got more than one "spine chill" with Spidey2. one of those chills I got was when I heard the Goblin laugh at the end of Spidey2. in the third film I have already got a chill from the Subway scene when Spidey says, "EVERYTHING!". I'm almost positive I will get a chill when I see the Symbiote starting to cover peter on his bed.

Basically the opening credits with both movies. Elfman's score is just so enthralling. But I LOVE watching the first 2 movies with a packed audience. I love reactions, the movie comes alive. Here's to SM3!

And ALSO:

When the accident happens to Ock in SM2. Raimi made him such a good guy, and I get all nervous knowing what's gonna happen to him. it's weird, I don't want the chracter to get hurt, yet, In the words of Doc Ock posted above, I want to see "my fav villain being brought to life on screen"

Pretty much any Goblin scene, especially his "return" in SM2. Dafoe is a god. :gg:

I've said this to a bunch of people, but I've been waiting for SM3 for 7-8 years. Venom was a pipe dream then. I expected him to come later when Technology and CG could properly catch up and give him proper credence.

That time comes in 2 weeks.

That will be the ultimate spine chill.

They can end the franchise after this movie, as far as I'm concerned.

There's too many moments to narrow it down to a few. Each Spider-Man movie, and every clip from the 3rd, has left me feeling like a little kid, grinning uncontrollably.

Spidey swinging after Unlce Ben's Killer.

The blurry Comic-Con footage of SM3. I joined this forum just at the right time- I remember being hyped, but having my hype just doing a backflip into a jig. I wasn't around for the "he's not in the film" discussions some people reference, but I had my doubts. I was very happy back then and waiting to see what they did with Venom in this film.

Another one was when Ock's tentacle suddenly flies into frame when Harry's by himself on the balcony in SM2. It's just awesome. No other phrase for it. I can't really find a moment in the Japanese commercial, but that's because the entire thing gets me giddy.

as in your body moving? well not exactly a "spine chill" but i definatley felt a tingle when MJ was in the rain in the first movie... :p

Hell yeah man. I get those alot with alot of Marvel movies.

Just seeing that new stuff tonight did it for me.

I can name 3 from Spidey 2, but the first two are "pseudo-spine tinglers"-

1) Doc Ock first moving the tentacles, as said above
2) Spidey, unmasked, looking over his shoulder at Mary-Jane (because it's copied a lot from Batman Returns, one of the greatest freakin' flicks ever)

and the one that caught me off guard when I saw it and gave me the chills was at the end when Mary Jane said 'Go get em Tiger'

The train scene in Spider-man 2 will forever give me those chills...it is a total work of art

During the Spider-Man 2 trailer when it said "THIS SUMMER" as the Lacrimosa song cued up and Spidey tackled Doc Ock on the train.

So far I havent got chills from watching any of the SM3 clips but in a theater I think I will experience that since everything is just so much louder and bigger.

Just saw the venom ign clip.... damn the whole transformation was too quick.... i wanted eddie brock in a cacoon!

That venom clips was edited, like all other clips. This is from a press kit, in which most scenes are edited. The Venom scene is longer though, because there were other parts in the trailers that were not in this footage.

got a chill from the Subway scene when Spidey says, "EVERYTHING!".

I KNOW! I love that scene! Its funny cause sometimes your favorite scene isn't an action or fight scene or whatever. Its just someone saying a word!

It's funny I was talking about this sort of thing the other day. Some friends and I were talking about that moment before the Star Wars theme kicks in, that slight moment of anticipation. We were laughing saying that people who aren't geeks like us just don't get to experience that kind of excitment in the cinema... or anywhere else.

As far as comic book movies go, I'm like a kid on a sugar rush every time!

Oh and when MJ calls Pete "tiger" at the end of SM2 (when she shows up in the wedding dress) before he leaps out the window!

uncle ben's interior decorating...

Mj's dress sense....

doc ock's aweful shoes...

When Brock looks up to realize Peter is Spider-Man. I can just imagine the hatred flowing through his body.
