(NB This also applies to the DC Universe). Just curious- do supervillains network on a regular basis, trade tips( such as where to buy the coolest costumes/ have them repaired) or does ego tripping get in the way?

Actually, I hear the Illumi-naughty was formed when Dr. Doom added Namor, Emma Frost, Loki and some other villains as friends via Myspace.

well in the dcu yes. just read identity crsis. however i'm not so sure in the MU.

I expect that most villains don`t hang out together. Some of the bank robber types and b-listers might but most prob keep to themselves.

They obviously have informants, spies and lackeys to keep tabs on what is going on.

To a greater extent though the trade of information between criminals is prob facilitated by a class of middle men who are making careers out of funding super-villainy. The tinkerer sand AIM are a good examples of this type.

".com" not ".org". ".org" is just bestiality porn. :(

They don't network. They just listen to whatever the Hood tells them.

In ASM, there's been a bar featured lately, where all the super villains gather and bet on stuff, so one would surmise that they probably DO talk shop there.

I know in Sleeper there was a bar where all the superpowered baddies used to enjoy their downtime, although the name escapes me at the moment...

I guess it kind of depends on the villains in question. Some villains know each other, so yeah, they'd probably hang out and talk about crime stuff at least regularly. But others don't. I think they'd be more likely to if they're part of some kind of organized crime, as opposed to smash 'n' grab thieves and the real psychos like Carnage.

It depends on who is writing what book and what purpose it will serve to a story.

The most recent villain get together that I really REALLY enjoyed was Rogues Revenge. While, yes, that is a DC title it was still uber bad ass and shows that villains can be likable in some sense. Even if they are just killing people without a second thought...

That reminds me, in Marvel there is this traveling BAR WITH NO NAME were supervillains typically gather to socialize. Punisher recently blew one up during Stilt-Man's funeral and managed to kill a few F-Listers, so you'd think they'd stop being so obvious about it.
