World Do YOU believe in mutants?

Of course, only an idiot doesn't believe in mutants!

I don't believe in midgets, however.

i remember some years ago on the maury povich show, they were doing a show on sick children. one kid was allergic to water, another was allergic to the sun, and some kids featured were born without limbs.
but one little girl, now that i'm thinking about it, had an x-men-like 'mutation'. she had an entirely perfect nervous system, she could talk, see, hear and do anything any other normal human could do. but, she couldn't feel any pain or pressure. like a gift and a curse.
the gift: she can't feel any pain. she can't feel burns, scratches, or a punch to the stomach.
the curse: as a young child, she had to be watched constantly for fear of her accidentally biting off her tongue or burning her mouth on hot food.

i'm going to google it to see if there is an update available for her story.

edit: if you google 'little girl who can't feel pain' you get a lot of results. here's one:

i can see that, but she was born like this and it affects her entire body. oddly, i can't find any instances where it affects males.

That really sucks. You can have some major bleeding going on inside and you wouldn't even know it, then you would just die.

Mutants are real, its a scientific fact. They arent like those in comics but more like actually deformities. There is a book at borders title mutants which talks about people who have undergone abnormal mutations...Id check it out if I were you

I strongly believe some users on the Hype are indeed mutants. :o

Partly a friend was telling me there are people who can control themselves. See Jean Grey is a part of your brain that blocks the use of your brain, you only use ten percent. if you had more you'd die cause it would make you really tired. some people are born with less jean grey than some so they can like make there hair grow or there finger nails grow so it would take a really strong person to do mutant stuff.

The 10% percent thing is bull****. We use every percent of our brains, just not consciously. That other 90% is still working its butt of.

In England theres a boy with this disorder. I saw it on a newspaper a few years back at my college.

You could class Albino's as mutants. Anyone with a defect can be classed as a mutant.:marv:

Okay. Now I know its an irrational question but do you guys believe in mutants? They exist as 4 legged frogs and stuff...
How many legs should a frog have?

I know there are mutations. We see them all the time. I don't believe in evolution, however. Most of the "proof" that is in text books and what not has been proven false, yet it is still being tought to kids in school.

dude mutations happen all the time its causes evoloution. Look at lebron james. He is 21 years old and he is doing what Michael Jordan was doing when jordan was in his prime and lebrone james is not even in his prime. We are in the beginning stages of a comic book world as we know it. Theyare already coming up with Super soldier Serums in china. That plus the mutation that are going on like that 5 yr old stronger then most adults.

O hyeah you can learn telekeinis and empathy ther are many books about it and online articles. some are bor n able to do it most have to learn and practice its not easy though

yeah plus on the evolution side of it-using darwin's hypothesis we'll continue to evolve into beings more suited for our environment, so we could end up with elongated limbs for running, special lungs to deal with pollution, maybe even things like nightvision and skin becaoming far tougher-it's not impossible for mutants to come into being though whether there are any true mutants now remains to be seen in my eyes anyway!

if empathy can be classified as a mutation then i'm a mutant. i'm empathic on a very sensitive level.

It depends of do u mean when u use the word mutant. If mean people with super powers than forget it, there are no such things.
