I can understand that being a mutant for them means a lot, and using those unique powers can mean life or death for them. Especially when they have to deal with the prejudices of the world. But asside the tirany of mutant haters out there, why should the X-Men be concerned with other worldly problems, like power-crazy mad men, super-villains eliminating human kind, and would be world dominators.

The message Xavier preached was about harmony among humans and mutants, not the X-Men saving the world, by using their powers to supress villainry and evil-doers that have almost little to nothing to do with being a mutant...

The X-men dont usually get involved in stuff unless A) it does involve mutant rights , B) the threat goes after them or their allies or C) they will be affected in some way. Look at Civil War. They chose to stay out of it bc it had little to do with them.
