I'm not talking about just having a lucid(dreaming while knowing you're dreaming) dreams. I mean being like a director and consciously adapting the concepts and role of the dream.

Today,I was taking a nap and had a horrible dream that bordered on being a nightmare. I was in a a border house of somekind and felt like I had special powers. But everytime I tried to use my powers I found myself being paralyzed or even molested by different characters in the dream. When I woke up I was not only unsettled I was dissatisfied. I went beck to sleep and this time I made a conscious effort to actively alter the dream. The next time the dream was more complext. Characters had motives. The dream's storyline increased in scope, and my superpowers had evolved into symbols. Ror example I was being hurt by a faculty at a school and slowly had to develop my powers to fight back. The school faculty was toying with me with their superpowers, turning me into a drooling mute or a confused spaz because I had some absorption power similar to Rogue and they were feeding me powers I didnt have the ability to control.

To make a long story short I repeated the process of dreaming and waking up until my dream had an epic storyline that of which could compare to Kingdom Come the graphic novel. [spoilers]I found out the faculty was trying to stop my political aspirations as a mutant by sabatoging my school career[end spoilers]. I ended up watching a speech with other persecuted mutants about the importance of integrity or some crap...

The point is I shaped the dream like I was the actor/director. Has anyone else done this? Improved and restructured a dream by waking up and going back to dreaming several times?

My dreams are usually like a really bad porn movies, so I don't know if you can call it direction or not.

I dreamt I was making donuts on the Titanic, with Hank Williams.

I had a dream with Tony Danza. He was at a funeral I was attending and he looked pissed...

I think this was precogntion that his show was going to be cancelled.

After I saw the Matrix sequels, I tried to go to sleep and "watch" them, only THIS time with an epic storyline with complex characters.

...it didn't work.

Lol.

I guess I'm your only kindred spirit in this one.

Yes, I've done this. They were a lot more intense when I was younger and had little to no stress.

I usually attempt to document and later look up the meaning in my many dream books.

I wake up and sometimes think how my dream could've been better, but I guess that's reviewing, not directing.

I've controlled my dreams a couple times, but haven't had success with it lately.

Its funny dreams is even mentioned. Lately I've been remembering alot of my dreams, which normally happened ever blue moon. Strange and cool. No, I've never morphed a dream into my liking. I've always enjoyed the experience tho, I see it more as an adventure to shoot from the hip than to sit there, know what's going to happen and then alter it.
