Do you hate V-day?

and what american holiday or tradition in this country hasn't been?
It's all America's fault.

Uncle Sam raped Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and St. Valentine. I'm sure that Columbus and the Veterans would be pleased that their holidays are now cause for a mattress sale ;)

Mail order tranneys eh? I bet you've cornered the market on that.
You'd be surprised...we have some high profile customers, especially around Valentine's day. We running an asian midget special right now.

Do you hate Valentine Days? I do. Now last year I went on a date with this girl, and we ended up dating for 6 months. Now this year I'm single and V-day seems like a son of a *****. Sure it's great for everyone who are together and I hope all the couples and a good time, but what about the single people? V-day can make single people feel lonely and ****ty. Theres no celebration for us. A singles day shall rise up one day!

There is a girl at work I dig a lot. I would ask her out but I'm real **** at reading signs. If I knew she liked me I would ask her out, but like I said I can't read signs from girls. The other problem is if I asked her out and she said no, it's not so bad she would say no, it would be awkward working with her.

Anyway tell us if you like V-day? Are you single and feel like **** because if this holiday?

I hate valentines because I'm a bitter lonely person. I've never had a gf long enough to actually not be alone on this. I hate couples on valentines. I hate being single yet I can't keep a relationship working or get any chick to like me. I wish I could just sleep through the day.

ive never really cared about valentine's day, which is weird since i'm a girl and it seems like we're expected to.

i don't have a Valentine this year, but i'm not gonna sit at home in my room eating junk food and watching chickflicks. it's not the end of the world.

i guess it just comes down to that i prefer gifts that are random and spontaneous and not just "because it's Valentine's Day". those kind of gifts seemed forced sometimes, and I much prefer the "just because" kind of gifts

Here's something I hate about Valentine's Day. When exactly did a holiday primary aimed at couples transform into a free for all of well-wishing? I mean, nowadays, you have to give cards and candy to your parents, to your friends, to your next door neighbor. And if you have kids, oh boy, you have hand out cards to nearly the entire damn school.

Here's a fact people; kids don't love everyone in their entire school. Despite what the Bible says, you don't love your neighbor. You may like them...go out to dinner every now and then, but you don't love them. Stop pretending you do, and stop sending them cards.

That said, I have no problem with Valentine's Day as a holiday to celebrate love between people, and another excuse to spend money and have sex.

You know, I thought I didn't have a problem with Valentine's Day, but 4 hours of tossing and turning without being able to sleep apparently proves differently.

I have a date tonight with a 2-6 of rum, I think. Maybe red wine. Who knows.

i did when i was younger but i grew up and realised whats the bloody point.

Valentine's Day doesn't bother me. While I agree you should be telling someone everyday and not just on February 14, still $30 for flowers and a card isn't that big of a deal.

It's a good day on both sides of the fence...

the amount of single people going out to find spouses is pretty much on parallel with haloween when it comes to raw horniness (or the closest weekend to it).

so your chances of catching a spouse is on the increase i find, especially if you bond over how crap and 'exploited' the whole valentine's day thing is.

if you're not doing that, at least you can enjoy the fact it's a normal day and you aren't spending a crazy amount of money in order to try and impress people

for people in a fresh relationship, it can be an opportunity to either impress and make an effort if you don't do that often. If that happens more regularly for you, you can just take the day off and chill knowing no partner will ever hold it against you.

for older relationships you may not even realise its occuring since your lives ar so busy but if one's relationship is going stale, it's always a useful way of trying and rekinddling some of the spark that has been lost between you so it can help two people fall in love with each other all over again.

I don't see how anyone in this position could possibly take it badly unless they have recently split up with someone and the wounds are still deep and open. For you peeps, i only have one thing to say....haha....
