Do you honestly like Adam Sandler?

Adam Sandler is effective as a comedian, I wouldnt say he has the widest range but he pulls the slapstick comedy off very well and he manages with the more subtle comedies. In anger management co-starring with Jack Nicholas he held his own. So in short yea I like him.

I've loved Sandler since his SNL days. His films actually have some heart to them and he's great for a few laughs. Anger Management is my favorite Sandler flick.

I still don't know why they didn't turn 'Firemarshal Bill' into a movie! I mean, SNL was doing it during its time with it's popular skits such as Wayne's World.

No kidding.

If we were able to be given these "gems" I fail to see why an In Living Color based character couldn't get a film.

Definately Fire Marshall Bill at least. And maybe Homie the Clown...

I can't stand him..he's annoying, his movies suck and he can't act.

Homie dont play that.....

heh heh heh...I used to take a bunch of tube socks and stuff them into one another until I had my own Homie-hitter. I couldn't annoy people enough...:woot:

No, he's not funny even in a juvenile manner. All he does is yell angrily or talk in that stupid little kid voice. His movies are horrible too.

But hes way richer than you..... must be doing something right
You're right...wealth = talent. See Paris Hilton, 50 Cent, etc.
:whatever:

I always found it funny how they cast Jim Carrey as the token white guy and because of Fire Marshall Bill became the star of the show.

I watched all but I think the last season of that show when it aired. Jim Carrey never became the star of it, he was one of them but not the only or main one. Damon Wayans was probably the biggest and best out of them all.

They didn't want to make the white man richer. :o
:whatever:

I'm middle of the road...when he has the right material, he's really funny!

I thought he was great in 50 first dates and he looks great in that new wedding comedy flick. Speaking of...he was also great in the wedding singer.

I think i'm a fan of him when he's taking on more dry humor roles rather than the slapstick style of his older work.

Scary Movie was probably the best thing the Wayans Brothers did, period. Not the sequel, but the first one. It was gross, clever and took jabs at the genre.

Which is why I said they got talent but it sad what they've been reduce to all of them :(

I really like most of his films. He should do more drama as Punch Drunk Love and Reign Over Me were great.

I like Sandler. I enjoy his movies. Even the goofy ones. He needs to do more stuff like Reign Over Me and Punch-Drunk Love. Saw Spanglish the other night. He was pretty good in it.

I like most of his movies. Big Daddy is my absolute favorite. Spanglish and The Wedding Singer are my high up on my list too. I find him really funny.

I liked.

Big Daddy.
Mr Deeds.
Wedding Singer.
Spanglish.
Click.

So i can watch him a good bit.

I can stand him better then the hammed up stuff Eddie Murphy does.

im not a big fan of his comedy roles besides Anger Management and big daddy. i always thought he would never break from his re-ash comedy routine but i was surprised after watching Click and Reign Over Me, both which became my favorite Adam Sandler movies

His work ten years ago worked because he was ten years younger. I think his recent comedies have become mildly formulaic, though. Pairing him with Jack in Anger Management was a stroke of genius. I also like Click. It wasn't perfect, but it had enough heart, and Kate Beckinsale surely helped. I know many of you saw Spanglish only just this weekend, but I actually bothered to see it in the theater, and loved it. Punch Drunk Love doesn't hold any interest for me, but I'd like very much to see Reign Over Me.

I liked Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison was good. I even found it better than his stuff on SNL

I've never bothered with the rest.

Can't say I like him that much. He's on my list of "cheezy comedians to avoid." Most of the movies I've seen him in revolve around romance and I loathe chick flicks. He might be better in non-chick flicks, but I wouldn't know.
