Do you see yourself buying the Season 1 DVD...

Depends on how the season turns out. Of course i never buy dvds with the internet.

Right now I'm leaning towards yes. I've only seen the first four eps so far, but it looks interesting enough to buy. And I like being able to view them back-to-back with no commercials.

Aren't they doing an R-rated version of the show for the DVD release?

I've heard that. If so I'm all for it.
So they would have to seriously screw up from here on out to lose your $30? (Or whatever it's gonna cost.)

For the sake of my Blade collection, yes. And even besides that, the action and story alone is worth it. The stuff they have here is actually much better than the movies because they have more room to develop things. Plus I'm really diggin Kirk's Blade.

I won't go as far as to say it's better than the movies, but I am loving the way this story is developing. It makes you wonder how all the other Marvel shows could have gone so horribly wrong.

I say it's better because it has time to actually do more than the basic "key to becoming a daywalker" plot. You can get more into the individual characters and develop other character arcs. Very much like a comic book.

True. I'll give you that. I was a little upset when I thought Chase was dead. By contrast, I was so happy to see Quinn & Reinhardt buy it.

I'll buy as many seasons as are made/released on DVD.

I don't care how Blade has been made superfluous to the storyline so far, but the one thing this series is really getting right is the vampire politics thing, along with adding new stuff like the ash trade.

The vampire politics was one of the things that helped set the first Blade apart from other vampire movies or TV shows, and going back to that really helps give the show a foundation for hopefully several seasons.

I'm a Chase fan too. I like her better than Krista. She just has the ride-or-die vibe that I find very alluring.

I didn't mind Reinhardt buying it, but I liked Quinn. He was the best vampire sidekick, and I liked the easygoing, humorous interplay between him and Frost.

Yeah, but it was obvious Frost didn't give a **** about him. I kept wondering why Frost put up with him.

I don't think Frost really cared about anyone. I don't think Marcus will cry too many tears if he has to stake Krista either, though he might express regret for doing so.

Doubtful. I'm a little strapped for cash at the moment and I can think of a lot of other DVDs I'd prefer to get. The idea of an R-rated version doesn't really entice me, since the things that I feel are wrong with the show can't be fixed by more curse words and gore.

No, probably buy other DVDs that I want (other movies, dramas etc). If I had to choose within vampire categiory - I'd buy Angel DVD collection over this anytime

I might. I liked the season so far. I think it depends on how much it is lol. If its a good price, then ill get it.

i agree i love how it sounds like there may be a civil war within the vampire nation. i like the show it's not the best vampire show ever but it's better then most of the crap they have on tv now a days. i'll buy every episode that they bring on DVD.

No, I don't see myself buying it. I watch the eps for the storyline, I want to see were it's going, but at present, the episodes are pretty linear and don't lend themselves to repeat viewing, IMHO.
