Do you think Batman is 'Goth'?

Really, he's more noir than Goth.

Sorry but yeah, Batman is "black all over" because he uses it to inspire fear. If he wasn't Batman, he'd only be Bruce Wayne, and you can't call Bruce Wayne Goth.
Batman is dark for a reason.
Goths...aren't.

f**k Elvira, she stole her entire gimmick from Vampira, who was hotter anyway :o

I'd bang Elvira in her prime. She had big juicy....eyeballs.

I suppose he could be Goth, if that's what you're looking for. Batman is pretty versatile, thanks to the 66 years of publication he's enjoyed under different authors. It's pretty easy to find any interptretation you want. I prefer to think of him as a tragic hero who's trying defend hope, despite having none for himself. But if somebody wants to think of him as goth, then I'm sure there are some comics out there that might support that.

I thought this was neat. Check out what one of the first goth clubs was called.

"The opening of the Batcave in London's Soho in July 1982 provided a prominent meeting point for the emerging scene, which had briefly been labeled positive punk by the New Musical Express.[1] The term "Batcaver" was later used to describe old-school goths."

I'd like to extend this topic (sorry Motown, I can tell you hate the goth bastards) but saying if he were, would Bats be less/more appealing to you as a character?

Less.

If I wanted Goth, I'd go watch/read The Crow.

Batman just isn't about that to me.

In a sense, you can say that.

Real Goths (not the f**k-offs that wear all-black and hang about in malls) are generally classified as creative-minded individuals who find beauty in things that regular people don't see.

While the man isn't a writer or painter, the costume he created, the persona he mastered, and the gadgets he's invented show he has a lot of creativity in him; and while he wouldn't find it "beautiful," he certainly walks a different beat than regular people.

So is he Goth? To me, yeah, to an extent--but that's not the best way to describe him. He's Goth/Tragic hero/Technological soldier/Samurai warrior/Noir detective. :batman::up:

The day he sits around in the dark writing generic lame poems is the day I consider Batman goth.

It wouldn't matter. Whether he lives a gothic lifestyle or not, the message and the character will always be there. Batman is driven. And being gothic would have no bearing on anything.

Good to see I'am not the only that likes the suicide girls. Now leave me while I think of Quinne from the suicide girls, hmm Quinne.

Not goth at all. Batman is a very different kind of freak.

Batman is most certainly Gothic, but he isn't Goth.

Exactly my thought.

I think we are, but that´s just my opinion and I can´t speak for everyone of the same lifestyle
