Iron Man 2 Do you think that they will show at least 1 avenger?

There was rumors, yes, but Favreau 'debunked' the Banner one and the Thor rumor died itself out.

Tony Stark and Nick Fury are walking in SHIELD's HQ, the Triskelion. Tony, having accepted to join the Avengers Initiative, asks Fury what the team is supposed to do once the other members are brought in. Fury leads Tony to a intel room full of SHIELD analysts searching for clues in computers, newspaper and magazine clippings of recent "Bigfoot" sightings on the walls, a gamma radiation tracking radar (With tree boogeys ) and, in the center, a cellphone picture of a victorious Hulk standing over Abomination's body in New York. Fury points to him. "Capture him", he says. Stark stares for a moment, smirks and says "I'm gonna need a bigger armor". Cut to black.

Personally, I'd like to see Stark look at The Hulk in disbelief, almost in awe.

Stark: So, that's the Hulk?
Fury: Yep, science either gone perfectly wrong or perfectly right.
Fury: And the best part is, he's a good guy.

Quite frankly I wouldn't believe any suggestions that "this character won't be in the film." We want to be surprised, the studio will try their best to surprise us, so they'll feed us BS beforehand to get our hopes down.

I could see a Thor cameo, IMO he could do with a nice rub from Iron Man 2 in order for the audience to know who exactly Thor is and what his role is within this whole thing is.

As for Hulk and Captain America, surely, there will be only references.

I doubt Thor will have a cameo. It'd only make fans more confused in concerning the timeline.

I'm betting in Captain America references akimbo and a cameo by the Hulk, tough.

^I agree. If there is any talk of Thor at all it'll just be that...talk. Hemsworth ain't showing up in this.

I could see Stark meeting Fury on the Helicarrier. Fury brings him into a room where a few personalities are there (not in full costume). Black Widow. Hawkeye. And Thor. We, as the general audience, will be intrigued by this and want to know more.

Thor movie comes out. The climatic battle ends in modern day New York, and Thor is confronted by SHIELD. This catches us up to the end of IM2.

I do think there will be more talk of Captain America in IM2. Stark's dad worked on the super-soldier program (look at the serum in TIH, it has Stark's name on it), so I think it will be brought up again. Stark Sr. will most likely be in the Captain America film as well.
