This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]472327[/split]
Yep. I remember making jokes about it when he was announced as the new Spider-Man.
Speaking of Frank, it was kind of tragic how Martha kept bumping into guys who were totally into her while she was making eyes at the Doctor. There was Frank (I'll leave my disbelief that a Southern white man from 1930's America was trying to pull a black woman aside for a sec), that dude she got trapped in the escape pod with from "42," and William Shakespeare himself. That last one pissed me off. I like "The Shakespeare Code," but every time I watch it, I feel like yelling "Martha Jones, you get back in there and do Shakespeare!"
I would've.
Just to say I did.

aaaand now that's the post everyone will see on the first page of the new thread. Oops.
Can we call the new thread the Telos edition?
Rose's love for the Doctor didn't come out of nowhere. It was pretty well developed over two years.
How about:
Doctor Who - Manic wants to do Shakespeare edition.
Rose and the Doctor had a complex relationship during series 1. It was clear they really cared about each other, but that kind of love could've been interpreted any number of ways. It wasn't until "The Parting of the Ways" that I got the impression it was something romantic. And that "two hopelessly devoted idiots in love in the TARDIS" vibe permeated the whole series 2.
Even then, I don't really think their relationship was all that physical. The Doctor just doesn't seem like the type. Every time someone kisses him, no matter how many times it happens, he tends to have that "Oh, this is new!" reaction.
And I don't just mean I want to perform my King Lear.
I thought the Shakespeare/Martha thing was really cute.
I liked her a lot.
Mickey was the worst. The only companion I've actively hated.
