Punisher still pwns...although V For Vendetta toppled it as my favorite comic2film recently...and I've actually considered getting everything tattooed on me like in Memento :o

Punisher is still a close 2nd though, and is still my favorite comic series....with All Star Batman in a close 2nd :o

I stop reading comics a year ago wiht plans to return never did, I read the first issue of All Star Batman though and thought "meh" perhaps it got better?

it had the following exchange...

Dick Grayson- Who are you?

Batman- What are you, dense? Are you ******ed or something? I'm the god damn batman!

that alone makes it the greatest comic book ever...Grayson later called the batmobile "queer," which is also awesome

Geek moments tend to annoy me because part of me loves them and the other part denounces it...

What's funny is that a lot of Batman fans HATE the book because of those reasons, which is really interesting to me.

Tampa Racing Club has the E-Terrorists group....they'll do an e-roadside bombing after putting an e-jihad on you :o

The thing is, they marketed the book to the fans as iconic Batman stories. People expected some stuff like the Neal Adams batman and when Denny O'Neill Batman, not psychotic DKR Batman.

those people should have read Frank Miller was writing it, because they should have known right then and there what it was going to be

Well he also wrote Year One so he is not incapable of writing a normal Batman story, and this was before Miller was announced.

yeah, but look at everything he's written recently...Miller has gone overboard on everything, and I love him for it...although I hate DKR for what he did to the Joker...although the Two-Face story was f**king awesome in it :o

I agree with Darth. I remember very avidly that they advertised All Star Batman as an iconic retelling of Batman stories without continuity to weigh it down. That's what drew so many Batman fans to it because they were looking at it like "Ultimate Batman" and hoping to get a modern retelling of Batman/Robin, but they got....well, they got craziness.

I like All Star Batman though because, while it wasn't exactly what it was advertised as, I like it for what Miller is making it. Sort of like a dark comedy version of Batman, and it's something different, dynamic, and interesting.

However, I think some people who dislike the book are rather too hard on it and need to move on, haha.

they raped his script...they recently did his original RC2 script as a comic and it was fantastic...insanely violent, robocop ending up with no prime directives and setting off to do what he wants to do at the end...it was great

Well its a lot easier to do a comic than a movie.

it was his script for the movie, with art put to it...the problem is they raped his script when they did the movie, and split it over 2 movies and took out all the cool parts...

Its still the same, its a lot easier to draw something than it it is to do it live action. But yeah his Robocop comic kicked ass.
