I decided to turn one of my livejournal rambles (this time about Joe the War Correspondent/Sea Kittens) into a youtube video, and if anyone seems interested, I may do the same with my other LJ rants/musings on various topics and turn it into a semi-regular video blog.

Umm...I guess I'm just looking for feedback, comments, suggestions, opinions.

Pretty funny. I like a good rant. I do have notes:

-The lighting is pretty bad. I know you're just a guy doing this out of your home, but the lighting in that video was pretty bad. Just do something simple, like putting a lamp in front of you or putting your camera in front of a light (depending on which is more mobile).

-It felt a little slow. Pick up the pace just a little. Don't try to talk a mile a minute, and feel free to say whatever you've got to say. You just need to tighten your comedic timing a little. Timing is a key part of comedy. Even if you're not doing comedy, timing plays a huge part in getting across one's point while keeping your audience's attention. It's the thing that separates the writers from the performers.

Otherwise, I totally dug the video. Your commentary was spot-on.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. I wandered around the house and finally found a spot which gives much better lighting.

Are you the one with the Dark Knight background on your youtube profile? I wondered if that was someone from here.

I just subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work. I totally agree with you about Joe the Plumber. It's almost like that guy is a plant or something, hand chosen out of many to stand out in a media obsessed frenzy to create another "Everyman" type celebrity.
