Does Superman Need Sleep?

I know over time comic book writers have changed Superman's ability to travel space and other things, but does he need sleep?

I wonder if there are any comic books that specifically talk about his kryptonian DNA. That would be interesting.

In Superman returns, which I know isn't a viable resource, he is seen saving people all over the world. I wonder if he just needs to sleep like once a week.

He doesn't need to sleep, but he can induce it upon himself.

In one issue (I can't remember off the top of my head), Batman mentions that while Superman doesn't physically need sleep, he still occasionally needs it mentally, since dreaming is basically 'brain therapy.'
