You know, DM is kinda loony, but I totally agree with him in one thing: the haters shouldn't freak out so badly about that toy prototype of Starscream. Because, you know, it's a goddam toy prototype.

Beast wars had some of the better characters and storylines of the TF series.

Beast Machines was lame in some ways, but Beast Wars was cool.

I have to tell you guys that I am very concerned about this movie. If there was any movie I've anticipated, it's a live action TF movie. My hopes are so high for this thing, but i have a feeling just like GINO I'll be let down.

and then when they saw the context of why he was an ape then it was well recieved...just like now. all we see are the long nose truck and flames without knowing the context within the film as to why that was chosen

They paid respect to the original source, while somewhat skewering it at the same time. They honestly needed to get a couple of the writers from that show to at least be consultants.

Optimus Primal was the commanding officer of a science vessel. He was seeing real battle for the first time. Optimus Prime was in the show, and he was the same as he was in G1, because technically Beast Wars was part of G1 continuity.

Because the writers of Beast Wars did the unthinkable - Not only did they interactwith the fans and wrote stuff that the fans wanted to see... They also paid attention to characterization, coherence and continuity. Blows the mind, huh ?

That's just weird. So, the Megatron from Beast Wars was a different Megatron?? And the facial resemblance between Primal and Prime was pure coincidence?? That just makes it more weird?

This Movie is Going to Own next summer right along with SM3. POTC3 can just sit out this one. The fight is gonna be between This and SM3.

It DID help the story make more sense in the end. But let's call it like it is: Optimus Primal was Optimus Prime. That's the role he played and the name he took from. We all know it.
