Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23

The first two episodes are available at Hulu. The pilot is nothing special, but the second episode is hilarious. I recommend you guys watch it.

I saw the first episode on ABC website. It was OK, nothing great but in reading the reviews of the series they say it gets much better as it goes along. I like the concept so I'll give it a few episodes.

I watched the second episode on hulu. It's definitely better than the pilot. I think they really need to capitalize on James Van Der Beek here. He's pretty funny at playing a version of himself. I don't particularly care for the two main girls. Beek could be as hilarious as Schmidt on New Girl if the writing improves.

If the writers find a way to spoof this

I will watch this show to its end.

In the second episode James recites his "speech" from Dawson's Creek when he told Joey he loved her...LOL

I liked it! It was as laugh out loud funny as I was expecting it to be, but I think it has potential.

I watched the first 2 episodes on ABC's Web site and couldn't help thinking that this show would be a lot better uncensored on a cable network, or something like that. Seemed like the kind of show that'd be better with profanity, sex, and violence - not "violence" as in killing, I mean violence as in physical catfights. :p

As a guy I never watched Dawson's Creek, so those references were kinda lost on me, but Van Der Beek was pretty funny. I agree, there's definite potential for his character. Btw, I wouldn't mind if Katie Holmes guest stars as herself at some point.... ;)

Apparently Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo are supposed to guest star in upcoming episodes, those should be interesting....

I think the pilot was just about on par with some of the early Happy Endings episodes. Some kinks to work out, but still funny with real potential. Happy Endings has reached that potential, hopefully this can too.

Watched the first two episodes and I have to say I really dig it. Krysten is awesome in the titular role, Dreama plays a good foil to her and Van Der Beek is hilarious. I also like the other minor characters (the uber-positive guy at he coffee shop, the fapping neighbor and the stalker chick). This show isn't quite as risque as stuff on FX and other stations but they are getting away with quite a bit. It's a bit reminiscent of 2 Broke Girls, but better and much quirkier.

I laughed the first time I saw Van Der Beek on screen, when they made fun of Dawson's Creek and Varsity Blues.

LOL, yeah. The Whipped Cream Bikini. That was funny. Though I have to say that no one will ever top Chris Evans' parody of that scene in Not Another Teen Movie. "It's not a sundae. It's a banana split." :hehe:

Deadline:
PTC Targets ABC Comedy ‘Don’t Trust The B—-’ Over “Sexist & Offensive” Content
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

Camouflaging the word “*****” in the title didn’t fool the Parents Television Council. The watchdog is up in arms over what it deems is “offensive content” on ABC’s new comedy Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, which premiered last week. According to the PTC, “the program is a sexist mixed-bag of hedonism, drug-use, alcohol abuse (including the main character plying a 13-year-old boy with alcohol to get him drunk) and explicit levels of promiscuity that are shocking even by today’s broadcast TV standards.” The organization’s primary targets are the show’s main advertisers, AT&T and Volkswagen.
Congrats, show. You've managed to piss off the PTC. Which is basically my way of saying.... you must be doing something right.

Now: PTC, please do shut the **** up for the next 10,000 years. I'd really appreciate it. :o

Like that's a difficult thing to do. Didn't they get all up in arms with the Lily swears episode of Modern Family, which is a "plot" in every families life at one point.

Watched the episode last week, was just as awful as I thought it'd be. It just one of those shows that tries too hard to be offensive that it just comes off as lame. The only part I liked was when the girl sold all of Krysten Ritter's stuff. Although, it also showed that the main plot point has already been solved, the small town girl is on to Krysten Ritter's game, so will it just become like the Break-Up now, with both girls trying to one up each in the awful department?

Also, wish they made James Van Der Beek's character better, he needs to be more NPH from Harold and Kumar, just totally over the top and loving every minute of it, or Jason Biggs from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, sick of being seen as Dawson and trying and failing to break free from the role.

Second ep definitely funnier!

When Chloe's mom literally rolled out I couldn't stop laughing at how crazy the whole thing was.

More Luther please.

I don't understand why the PTC has so much say, yet I've never heard of anyone from that organization by name, and have never met someone on their side. Something doesn't add up with them.

And as much as I like the main characters, can they just make the show about James Van Der Beek? Never enjoyed him when he was younger, but now he's just awesome.

I just think it's funny to look at how things have turned out for the main four from Dawson's Creek...

Williams has become a fairly well-respected film actress, Holmes is married to Tom Cruise, Jackson is on one of the best (and sadly overlooked) shows on television, and Van Der Beek has learned to laugh at himself.

I lawled at the pervert neighbor cutting June off from singing "You Oughta Know". :funny:

I recently saw an interview with Van Der Beek and I remember his comment.

"All four of us turned out alright. We didn't do any drugs etc etc"

I noticed a lot of WB actors didnt turn out to be crazy drugged celebs later on in life and most of them are doing well for themselves.

The WB didn't keep them on short leashes like Nickelodeon and Disney. As soon as they can break away they just go nuts.

DAWSON'S GUY RITCHIE MOVIE WAS PRETTY ACCURATE.....AND GOD DAMN FUNNY :D

-DOOM :doom:
