Dr. Gordon Returns to Saw 7

I think people will be pissed if Hoffman escapes again. He needs to die or be locked in the bathroom by Gordon. I know it sounds obvious but seeing as Hoffman escaped in Saw 6, my best guess he's probably biting the dust in this one.

If he does did, people will suspect that. Hoffman is going to be a beast in this one, killing everybody! I bet Dr. Gordon/Jill/Bobby die.

I can see Bobby and Jill dying. Gordon dying I can't see happening since they went through the trouble to bring him back after 7 films. I can see him living in the end honestly.

Fans will be pissed if Hoffman survives seeing as Strahm and Eric didn't survive and they were two of the most interesting characters.

VI made me a fan of Hoffman. And to me he was more interesting than Strahm. I didn't really care for Strahm.

But see, people will suspect Gordon to live, since he's coming back. He probably has the most brutal death.

What disappoints me still is how they killed off Eric, Jeff

Agreed. I wish they stuck with Amanda killing Eric by stabbing him in the throat with the knife as originally planned since her killing him is what caused her to be a serial killer, but I think its going to turn out that the writers will totally change the storyline and reveal that Hoffman was the one rigging the traps, making her innocent all along. UGH!

As for Jeff, I hated him, but he deserved a better death. Hell, him drowning in Strahm's Water Cube trap for a SAW opening would've been awesome. Way better than
getting shot
or the giant blender death they originally had planned for him.

As for SAW II: Flesh and Blood, some interesting info if you want to accept the game as canon, hopefully SAW VII won't contract this.

Anyway the police department sent Hoffman to follow Amanda after her drug bust with Detective Matthews. His assignment was to watch her and find out about her drug dealers. That is how he found out about Amanda being with Cecil that night.

Detective Tapp figured out that John Kramer was a potential suspect and believed Dr. Gordon and Jill Tuck were working together when they all killed Cecil Adams. That is how Jigsaw knew about Tapp in the first place. Once Tapp was slashed at the neck and went crazy from Sing's death, the police stopped believing him.

Tapp also thought Hoffman was a straight arrow cop that would never bend the rules (lol)

Mark from SAW 1 (candle trap victim) did insurance fraud to Umbrella Health.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention these other tidbits from the game:

Detective David Tapp went back to his apartment after escaping Jigsaw's asylum and committed suicide with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.

When Dr. Gordon was 19, he had a mental breakdown and was committed for 6 months. So far the case files explain how Tapp keeps suspecting Gordon, meanwhile he actually ends up investigating Jill and all of Gordon's patients (including John), but doesn't put two and two together that John is Jill's ex. He even goes on to say that it's a shame people like Gordon (assuming he is the killer from Tapp's POV) are ruining everything that people like Jill and John try to accomplish.

Amanda's reverse beartrap was Jigsaw's first mechanical trap and the first victim to feature Billy on tape. (Obvious fu** up with the latter part)

After Amanda survived her game, she went to visit Cecil and "didn't know" he was missing (even though it was all over the newspapers).

YEah, they would not release such a ridiculously big spoiler before the fact. There's gotta be more than meets the eye.

I didn't see the clip, but from what I'm hearing I'm inclined to agree with Matt and Bullets. There's no way they'd release that big of a spoiler with the film coming out next week.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was a deleted scene or possible alternate ending.

Or

It's a dream sequence with Hoffman. The director and writer has stated that Hoffman literally goes insane in this film after his test in Saw 6.

Let me just say that although that footage was a clip, that trailers have given way major spoilers,i.e. the trailer for the remake of Quarantine from a few years ago. So if it's not some dream or insanity piece, then it's gotta be the real deal. Jill's final predicament.

Hey, look! A new cli-OH MY GOODNESS!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!:waa:

All I got to say is....

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn son!

Wow, really? That really kind of sucks and makes me want to stop playing the first game haha.

Wow that clip was f'ing stupid.
It wasn't even a trap. He just kills her. Assuming this is truly her demise it is done terribly, as a clip seemed as if her death will be of little value despite the high standards John still had of her, and over all I think this movie may not live up to the ending we are hoping for. I mean if 6 was supposed to be the final set up by John, Hoffman seems to be just randomly killing people now. I mean sure he killed some cops in VI, and he set up the traps where people always had to die (I'm still lost on the point of the acid needles trap at the end of VI. How could anyone win that?), but at the time he seemed to be following Jigsaw's plan. Now it just seems......stupid.

Here's the Youtube version for those who can't download the IGN encode:

To be fair, one would assume that he would kill Jill quick(If it isn't a dream sequence/insanity moment). But you also have to understand that it would be logical for Hoffman to start killing EVERYONE. Remember, he was tested, managed to escape while getting fatally wounded, and the director/writer said that Hoffman literally goes insane in this.

He didn't kill cops in Saw 6, he killed FBI agents. He went against Jigsaw's MO of actually killing. It's a twisted logic since John was technically a murderer, but he never actually physically killed anyone whereas Hoffman did.

they can't kill "that character", because the producers have already said they were planning on rebooting the series one day with "that" character taking over.

This was probably months ago I read that on some site somewhere. Don't quote me on it as fact though. But I know I read that somewhere.

I am excited about this movie but, at the same time a little worried that I will be disapointed. I mean this movie is 90 mins and is rumored to have 11 traps. I just afraid that the story is going to be lame because the producers wanted the traps to be in 3D.

Also I have a question. They left a part of Jeff's story arch and it's a big part lol. At the end of saw 3 we see Jeff's daughter locked in a safe. I don't remember if it was adressed in saw 4. I mean if anyone knows let me know!!

Yeah, Hoffman walks out with her at the beginning of 4, so he looks like the hero.

At the beginning of V it shows hoffman "rescuing" Corbett. By rescuing i mean making it look like a rescue for self gain.

I assume the 11 traps will be quick and other Saw films have been 90 minutes as well.

Alright thanks for answering my question guys. It's been a while since I watched saw 3-5 so I couldn't remember if that was addressed or not. Maybe I should borrow my friends Saw collection to refresh my memory on those films before I see 7 this weekend lol.

I`ve seen the first 3 a few years ago, loved the ending of the first, 2nd was decent, 3rd, dont remember much. My roommate is trying to get me to watch them all, 1-6 within a week or so then head out and catch 7. Not much for the blood and guts myself, should I bother?

yeah but when you watch 5 skip all the crap with the trapped victims and just watch anything with hoffman and the cops. aside from that you should be good to go. I thought 5 was the most pointless and stupid of all 6.
