Dragonball moves to April 8th 2009

I knew it that due to too much competition and not getting enough theatres they will move it.

This means there will be no trailer for this until like end of summer.

Also sad news is that historically april has never been a good month for movies since most of them bomb.

Hmm. Hopefully it will be a better movie than it would have been in August. But I'm still pissed that I have to wait a whole year now

At least people can't complain that it'll be rushed now. There's going to be a lot of post production work that will no doubt improve the movie with the extra time....at least, in some ways it might improve from what November might have brought.

How much better?

In August movies since last 3-4 years have made $100+ million domestically and last year we had a 200+ million hit. In april no movie has made that kind of boxoffice.

True but after Jan, Feb, Mar and Sep, April is the worst month for films no film released in April has has a opening weekend of $45+ mil

Trust me guys, i know this sounds bad but april has never been a good month for movies.

There are three reasons for that

1) A lot of bad movies come out and people avoid them
2) University/college students in North America have their final exams in april so everyone is extremely busy studying
3) Everyone waits till may because the audience knows that it is that time when real big event movies start coming out so why waste money in april?

It would have been better if they released this in 1st week of march or 2nd week. Hell even president day weekend would have been much better but the problem is that all those dates are booked with big movies.
