DuckTales 2017

There has been a distinct lack of Scrooge so far. No episode has been bad but I expected a lot more Scrooge. The show is building things nicely though. I expect Lena, her "magical" ally ( ;) ) and the disappearance of the boys' mother to be connected. The item Dula took sounds like a magical item. Also would explain part of Scrooge's funding defense against sorcery.

The recent Ma Beagle Birthday episode was excellent. Neat twist at introducing a classic character at the end too.

did they shorten the theme song/opening for the 4th ep or am I just crazy?

If they did, I didn't notice.

I really liked the most recent episode with the Terra-Firmians. An interesting take on the whole thing and nice to see some character development for Huey who hadn't done much to that point. Probably my second favorite episode so far behind the Money Bin episode with Gyro.

This was a good ep with Gladstone. Scroooge gets some more spotlight and Donald was pretty sympathetic too. The bit with Launchpad having a side adventure we never saw tickled me for some reason.

Great episode all around. Scrooge being excited about facing a luck vampire was pretty hilarious, as was Donald's bad luck compared to, well, everyone, actually, but especially Gladstone. He really is the worst!

And yeah, Launchpad's side adventure feels a bit like some good jokes and groundwork for why he can hang with both this family and DW.

Bring on Gizmo Duck already but I doubt he will ever be in this incarnation of Duck Tales.:csad:

Uh... They already teased Gizmo in the episode with Gyro and Lil' Bulb. Project: Blatherskeit.

yeah they did, I just watched Ep 5 and it was the longer one, the one in ep 4 cuts right to the lyrics and is missing the middle section (the part that goes d-d-d danger lurks behind you, there's a stranger out to get you).

Thanks.

As for the newest episode, I once again loved it. I don't think there has been a bad episode yet. Scrooge in particular was the highlight of this episode for me with his constant attempts to escape and do something exciting only to be foiled. Well him and Huey falling in love with the water show. But there were great moments for pretty much the entire cast here.

Gotta say, while the animation style takes some getting used to, I am loving this series!

Has the same charm and it's just as enjoyable as the 80s series. What I love most about this is how there are episodes that focus on certain characters while putting others on the sidelines at times.

Canada aired the Mark Beaks episode instead of the Gladstone Gander episode last week...so its out there if you know where to look....and WHOOO BOY did it make me laugh

Where Louie accidentally commits grand theft.

And I loved the whole Glomgold plotting. And that he was planning on double crossing Scrooge. And the bit at the end was great. Very good episode.

They nailed how those Silicon Valley guys act as well as how a lot of their stuff that VC invest in isn't even something tangible.

I didn't think the Mark Beaks episode was as good as the previous couple of episodes, but I still really enjoyed it.

Glomgold and Graves were my highlights in this one. Glomgold is just delightfully insane and Graves' straight man act is a great contrast to all the craziness in this world. I hope this isn't a one-shot and we get to see more of Graves going forward because I loved him.

It seemed odd that Louie wasn't around because Mark Beaks is the type of guy he'd probably look up to.

Glomgold has been a treat. Much more memorable that the og show's glomgold.

"Bor-ee-tows."

Nice to have a classic adventure episode for the first time in awhile.

'This is the stupidest rebellion i've ever been apart of"

line was classic

As soon as I saw them standing there I said, "Thriller". And then it happened.

Nothing until December 2nd.
