over the weekend i bought a new Dell Studio XPS Desktop that comes with
6 GB of RAM
640 GB HDD
the new i7 Core Processor
two cd/dvd drives
Vista with free updrage for Windows 7,
a 22" widscreen moniter

so i was looking online and i came across a thread from some forum about the fan making loud noises, do you guys have a XPS or knows someone that have one thats know what this is about.

yep, the retail price is like $1300 and i got it for $950

Any system that has that much stuff in it is going to be a little noisy, unless it's custom built to not be. Don't worry about it.

Good idea dude, Dell is currently up it's ears in class action lawsuits pertaining to their shady ass payment schedule and late fees. My sis is still paying off a Dell comp she bought 5 years ago. It's a constant headache for us.

Hahahaha, me too. I bought a Dell laptop and paid it off completely though. Seriously, it's terrible, we've paid for her desktop like 3 times over. And it's partly our fault, but the late fees are ridiculous.

im just glad i finally got a new computer, it should be here by tomorrow
my current computer is a old HP that i mod with a new HDD, a amazing LG LCD widscreen Flatron and another cd drive, it has i think 1 gb of RAM and a crappy video card that can play Unreal Tournament 1 and Starcraft. my browser cant even play Youtube Videos correctly without freezing

my first computer ran windows 3.1 and had no modem. i could send the page to hotmail, go take a shower, come back and my inbox still wouldn't be loaded.

i had dial up and if someone called in, i'd have to start sending a page all over

but my newer desktop is 6 yrs old and i'm hoping to get a decent raise, cuz I want a new one. My monitor is fairly new, and nice, so i'm really just looking for a tower. I'm prolly going to get one of the Studio ones

yea me too, but this one can do video/photo editing and also i found out that the video card that im getting is pretty nice, it can play games like GTA 4 and COD 4

same here, i have a PS3 so i wont be playing to many games on my PC but it will be really great on my video editing, i used to do video a lot of music videos of wrestling using Windows movie maker

Wow, some crazy payment stories in this thread. I just put the laptop I got on my credit card and then just had to pay that off, and my card had zero interest at the time. I don't know if I found a loop hole or what.

man i love my new computer, i have Firefox, Photoshop, a Video Converter, watching a big video file, and playing a video game all at the same time at it is using 50% of my CPU and about 60& on my RAM
