Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers will star in indie feature The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, produced by Cypress Moon Studios.

Variety says Tonya S. Holly will direct the film from her own script, which is a new adaptation of the story of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow rather than a remake of the 1967 classic film starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. Holly began working on the project after reading old newspaper articles about the gangster pair in an abandoned house on her family's property.

The Story of Bonnie and Clyde is set to film in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Natalie Canerday and Rance Howard will also star.

Angry responses in 3....2...1..

I can't really get angry. It'll just wind up being a crappy piece of junk that will disappear after 6 months or so never to be spoken of again. Whatever.

I think the same way. I think it's because it's really NOT a remake (because it's a bio pic) but at the same time, look at how Capote killed Infamous. Nobody talks about Infamous, or seems to care about it.

And there's a direct-to-video vibe that I'm getting here, then indie. This is evident when you have a dude from Air Bud 3 playing a famous historical figure like this.

May I add, because it's based on two particular figures in history and there's already a great film about it, what else is there to cover really?

Couldn't agree more!

Yes, I know others like to do their own version/take on things but the one with Beatty and Dunaway was great.

I guess I shouldn't complain...look how many films have been made on Wyatt Earp and the shootout at the OK Corral.

Duff in this kind of film? Mother of God...

The Duff is Bonnie? Whoa.

Well, this is a whole big boatload of failure, isnt it?

I don't get it. Where's Ashton? Are we getting Punk'd?

Wow. I might actually watch this just to see how bad the acting is.

I'll give it a view, but I'm not expecting anywhere near the other level of film status in regards to this one.

Well, don't count the Duff out just yet. None of you saw War, Inc.?

It isnt exactly the same, but doesnt this remind anyone else of that Robot Chicken sketch for "The Anne Frank Story... Starring Hilarie Duff!!!"

I can sorta see Zegers working, but Duff? Hell no.

I really find it odd that it's two former Disney stars set to star in a movie about Bonnie and Clyde.

Haha one of my fav's. Not sure about Duff in a film like this but I do enjoy Kevin Zegers. There could be hope for him

Are you ready to GET DUFFED?

I'll give it a chance just to see if it's more close to the true story.
