Well, it's in Variety so I guess it's official. So let the postings flow!

I am cautiously optimistic about this project, as Dune is not just one of the best SF books I have read, but one of the best books, period, that I have read. Both the previous versions (David Lynch's 1984 film and the 2000 miniseries) have their merits and drawbacks, though I think the 2000 one is better, but I hope this version will be the definitive version.
