Sci-Fi Dune

It was interesting but not wow for me.. Music not to my liking but the worm was awesome haha.

Good enough to ensure I watch the next trailer to see if i grow to like this more...

IMO they did a good trailer for the general public. those stupid slowed down songs are right now popular so ok let the use it.

My only disappointment is in the change of Muslim terms being used in Dune... it’s a disgrace towards Herbert’s writing.

I will say that the trailer was really good, but this one still takes the cake for me. By far, actually.

Yeah, I know that was a teaser and this is more of a traditional trailer, but in terms of getting me excited, this one did it. The only one that brought me to that level since has been The Batman trailer.

lol

Agreed. along with TFA and TLJ trailers too. I think the trailer for The Batman is the best trailer I've seen in an extremely long time. I'm talking over 5 years.

Really great trailer that I think should help sell Dune to the GA. I think some people are being overly pessimistic about this in comparing it to 2049. Chalamet and Zendaya both have huge followings, not to mention Momoa. 2049 had Gosling, but he's not near the star these days that these three are. That alone should give it a significant advantage. Not to mention its shaping up to be the first big release post-quarantine.

I'll never understand the hate for ambient covers in trailers. I thought the song worked great and it was a nice nod to Zowodowsky's failed adaptation.

Yeah in reddit thread for this people are really praising the use of the song because of the nod

Also Zendaya and Timothee's fans on their own would make it trend lol

They’re not using ‘Jihad’ and I’m assuming due to overly white market of North America.

Herbert based a lot of Dune’s terminology on old/new Arabic and Islamic culture, sadly America in 2020 is very racist or “shy” about said cultures post-9/11.

Guys this is the trailer. I'm sure there's lots of creative editing including sound/lines editing in there.

Yes. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWDDDD!

:eek::eek::eek:

Let's maybe hope this is good and makes money and focus on that lol

for those who only saw the trailer - the Denis/cast panel before it showed a lot of different footage so check it out too

Considering Jihad is a trigger word that sets the NSA off like attack dogs its understandable that it wasn't used.

Yeah the color grading is dull, like most of modern movies tbh. Everything else is great.

I'm gonna rewatch cast panel now and screenshot the Oscar/Jason footage there and keep tweeting it lol :D

Good thing I woke up early to do the work for today
