Sci-Fi Dune

I hope these photo releases mean we get a trailer or teaser release soon.
Thats possible, but, another possibility is that they released the images because there was very little going on in the entertainment industry because of the virus. Suddenly, they become the top story.

They didn't just decide to "release" these images now. They made a deal with Vanity Fair several months ago to publish that article and these photos for this edition. Same goes for all the magazine spreads WW84 and No TIme to Die have been getting. If the studios had their way, those would've been postponed along with the release of the films. But it wasn't up to them. The magazines still have issues to fill and deadlines to meet, and their agreement with the studios for this content had already been finalized.

Extreme nitpick : Fremen don't usually use gloves, they rub their hand on Creosote bush which stop perspiration.
She looks good anyway even without red hair :)

How faithful was the Lynch movie to the book/s??

The '84 movie is my only foray into the world of Dune. So I'm curious if this one will be much different to the Lynch movie.

I would have loved to see some of the amazing colors and costumes from the artwork of jodorowsky’s film influence this movie.

I think it will be different than the Lynch movie, no doubt about that.

Lynch movie took some liberties to make the story more accessible in 2 hours, weirding modules vs extreme combat training and "Captain America" super human skills, Navigators don't fold space, they "see" (with the help of Spice) the safer way in space from point A to B, the folding is done by the ship engine (Holtzman drive), in the book, the fact that The Guild is dependent on Spice isn't a known fact, the reveal comes later.
Too much details to write them all.

Pretty much Denis can do everything in the book that couldn't be done due to the rating and vfx.

That PG13 goes a long way if he's using that.

rating? Pg13?

It could be PG13 easy, there is no overly bloody or sexual stuff depicted in the book, then again American rating is...American (ie violence is ok, show a side boob and it's the end of the world).
