Maybe because our hand is to small to hold the whole notion of this debate?
We are in essence debating our whole perception of reality and how we view it.

He's not really offending anybody, Christians speaking Arabic use Allah for His name, it's like getting offended at Muslim people for using the word God for their god. He's trying to create a stir because he's an attention ****e, but this isn't really an insult to anybody.

I'm not a chritian, but I wouldn't mind calling him Allah if I was. I was raised catholic (I'm not anymore), and one thing that always bothered me was that we didn't have a name for God.

Jehovah? Or Yahweh depending on how you feel like pronouncing it.

I personally prefer Latin terms over Arabic, but whatever. PATER NOSTRUM DOMINUS DEUS JEHOVAH it's just a lot more Catholic and impressive.

This guy is ignorant twice over; once for the implications of such an action [on the surface] and twice for the fact that some middle eastern christians do term the God of the Bible 'Allah' because that word simply means 'The God'.

You remember how angry Muslims got over that Allah cartoon? I'd bet they'd love this.

The difference being, I think most Christians would shrug it off, say it was wrong, and continue worshiping as they were. However, the Muslims would have riots in the streets and guns flailing in the air.
