Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Will Go Faster

Wasn't Nic Cage doing something like this in 3D called "Drive Angry" or something like that? What happened to that movie?

That's coming out on February 11 in 2011 last I checked. Assuming it's released in the same week in Australia then it's coming out on February 10 here, on my birthday! :hehe:

That's what I thought. Sorry, it's just that the plots are a little similar...

that looks awesome, cant wait for the rock to come back!

so did Dwayne get hairplugs?

I remember when I was a wwf fan, there was a certain point when The Rock's hairline got really really bad. Then after the Rundown, his hairline magically stopped receding. Good for him though.

A stint in prison usually has one of two effects on a man – it either breaks him down or makes him stronger. For Driver (Dwayne Johnson), a 10-year sentence proved the latter. His strength was not just fueled by time, but also by a hunger to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his own imprisonment. Untouchable on the 'inside,' he made plenty of enemies in prison - men who were counting the days until his release so they could exact their own revenge on the outside. Now, on the day of his release, he is hell-bent on reaping vengeance upon the four men responsible for his brother's murder. With a list of names and addresses in hand, he sprints out of the prison gates and is immediately on his mission.

No regard for witnesses. No finesse to the acts. One down. Check. Within hours of Driver eliminating the first name on the list, two men are on his trail – Cop (Billy Bob Thornton), a veteran police officer just days from retirement, and Killer (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), a young egocentric hitman with a flair for the art of killing. The hunter is now also the hunted.

Without hesitation, Driver methodically continues down his list while the mystery deepens surrounding his brother's murder and who might have tipped off those responsible to their robbery plans. With each killing, Driver finds himself face to face with Cop or Killer and he evades them every time. Killer wants Driver now more than ever – he's finally met a worthy opponent. Thus begins a do or die race to the list's finish with new details in the decade old murder emerging along the way...hinting that Driver's list may be incomplete and his life in further danger.

Terrible teaser, it's just a bunch of generic action shots and cars whizzing around, audiences who haven't read a synopsis will have no idea what this is about and no reason to care since it looks like a dozen other b movie actioners.

Cop and Killer? went real creative with the names there lol

well its Driver, Killer, Cop

code names? but yeah its kinda lowbrow unless its something more

Well, it's only a teaser trailer. I'm hoping the preacher on the radio signifies from kind of Man on Fire/Unforgiven-esque spirituality about the film, like The Rock metaphorically going to hell.

Anyway, it's good to see The Rock back on track, along with Vin Diesel and Jason Statham they can do a Planet Hollywood Trio: The Next Generation kind of thing.

disagree big time hunter this is one of the best teaser i have seen

it actually you know teases and does'nt show everything

Sign me up, I'm in. The teaser had me with the Chevelle.

Oh man that Chevelle... I hate when they crash classic cars in movies, it kinda hurts to watch.

i like how generic and cliche it looks.

this is the kind of movie that Rock needs to make. enough with teh disney BS.

FINALLY, bout time the People's Champ got down to business again.

Looking at it, it kind of seems like his back is to us in that picture. Maybe that's just me.

Hunter, I am disappoint.

That's the point of a teaser trailer.

I get what you guys are saying but if you look you can see the stitching on his back pocket. Something if a little off but I'm not sure what it is.

Not to sound like a prick, but why does every action movie have to be the same?. It's always a revenge movie about getting the person who killed your brother, or uncle, or dad. I'm over this ****. You guys claim when remakes come out that you want originality in your movies, yet you swallow this ****. Generic, uninspired crap.

Remember the days when "The Rock" was supposed to be the next Sly/Arnie??? It's sad when I think about the wasted potential.
